3 REFRESHING DRINKS WHICH WILL HELP TO HYDRATE YOUR BODY

in dtube •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hi guys 👋

Today I want to introduce to you my 3 favourite drinks which are great refreshment during the summer, but all help to hydrate our organism.

Hydration of the body is a very important topic. The human body in ~ 60-70% consists of water, which actively participates in any metabolic process taking place in the body, so it is impossible to function properly without it.

To prevent dehydration, ensure you hydrate your body on regular basis.

You can hydrate your body on many ways. These below are my favourites, after a still mineral water.

FLAVOURED WATER

Not everybody likes taste of water. Sometimes you may think 'oh really, how much of water can i still drink?'. If you find it difficult to drink enough water, this method can help.

Just make your own flavoured water :) as it will be done by you, you will be the one to decide what will be the ingredients. And i can imagine that you won't add any sugar or preservatives as they do at factories... who normally would ? :)

I normally just use mineral water, juice squized out of lemon/lime/orange and ice cubes. But feel free to experiment use any juicy fruits and add any leaves, such as mint/rosemary/thyme/sage etc :)

On presented video, i used:

✔️ still mineral water
✔️ oranges
✔️ lemons
✔️ ice cubes

Pour out water to a glass. Squize juice out of oranges and lemons. Add slices of fruits, decorate with pieces of oranges/lemon. Add some ice cubes for more 'luxurious' effect ;-)

HOMEMADE ISOTONIC

Our body excredes water alongside with electrolytes. These are water solutions of ions, e.g. salts, having a positive (cathode) or negative (anode) electric charge. They are found in the fluids of our body, i.e. blood, plasma and body fluids. For the body to function properly it must constantly maintain an adequate level of electrolytes, because they are responsible for the transport of water through the cell membranes. For this reason, when supplementing water in the body, do not forget about electrolytes.

Great way of splementing our body with electrolites is creating an isotonic - drink including electrolytes. There are different types of isotonics, I want to present to you the simplest one, based on two ingredients:

✔️ water
✔️ himalayan salt

Method:

  1. Pour out water to a glass.
  2. Add pinch of salt.
  3. Stir.
  4. Drink 😊

WATER WITH LEMON JUICE AND CHIA SEEDS

My last and favourite one I want to present to you today is drink based on water, juice squized out of lemon and chia seeds.

You already know why it is so important to provide the body with water. Each of you probably heard also about a glass of water on an empty stomach in the diet to help lose weight. And probably everyone of you has heard about the miraculous properties hidden in the lemon, and the effects of eating it with warm water on an empty stomach. This drink is sensational for the same reasons, but so much better that enriched with the values contained in the seeds of Spanish sage.

Chia seeds provide a huge amount of nutrients and a small amount of calories. Calculated by weight, the chia contains, among others twice as much potassium as banana, three times more iron than spinach, six times more protein than beans and eight times more unsaturated omega 3 fatty acids than salmon.

One of the magic features of chia seeds are hydrophilic properties - seeds are able to absorb water in a proportion of over 12 to 1. This property of maintaining colloidal water prolongs the hydration period of the body. The consequence of the hydrophilic properties of chia seeds is to prevent dehydration and improve the absorption of nutrients from electrolytes.

So a drink consisting of water, lemon and chia seeds is a real elixir. It will provide you with vitamins, calcium, proteins and antioxidants. It will saturate and help control blood sugar levels and maintain normal body mass. Cleanse the body of toxins and harmful substances, ensure proper bowel function and health of the cardiovascular system.

If you have the option, buy the following ingredients and include this wonderful drink in your diet!

Ingredients:

✔️ 1 tbs of chia seeds
✔️ 2/3 cup of water
✔️ 1/3 cup of boiled water
✔️ ½ lemon
✔️ 1 tsp of honey (optional)

Method:

Pour the seeds into a glass and pour the water up to 1/2 of the height. Leave for a minimum of one hour or night.
After an hour or in the morning add juice squeezed out of half a lemon, and honey, if you like.
Add boiled water.

Voila! Enjoy the moment of luxurious relaxation 😌
