Although this was a great film, it has been the source of many jokes, especially the prayer scene (OH MAH LOOOOORRD, LORD LORD LOOOOOOORRRRDDD!!!!!).
It was until we rewatched the Fort Wagner scene many times that we realized this was one big Banzai Charge after Colonel Shaw gets killed.
