Symbols are crystallised concepts. The White Lotus is one of these main universal symbols containing all of creation and its evolution. The lotus remain pure and intact passing from the abstract into the concrete. I use the Shri Yantra as the symbolic geometrical structure for this painting. The Shri Yantra is a mystical diagram, nine interlocking triangles that surround a central point. Another main symbol, it represents the totality of the cosmos. Two circles enclose the triangles each having respectively 8 and 16 petals, this 2 circles with the petals represent the lotus of creation and reproductive vital force.
