[EP194] - Steem Gratitude Challenge - My Story

Hope you're all well!
Welcome to my video made exclusively for D.Tube.

Thanks to @theycallmedan for issuing the Steem Gratitude Challenge and then the delightfully exceptional @coruscate for issuing her own personal call out in her own video.

Steem has legitimatelly changed my life, the focus of my life and my excitement and hope for the future. I got into cryptocurrency when I had a hugely frustrating experience trying to transfer my own money from Australia to the US, and then got into Steem when I was watching crypto YouTube videos and the YouTuber was complaining about demonetisation and someone in the comments suggested Steem. I've also had issues with YouTube demonetisation and Facebook banning and the complete lack of accountability and support from these massive companies... so Steem was an absolute breath of fresh air.

Steem isn't for the faint of heart, but I've made so many amazing friends... especially since I've come to a new country where I didn't know anyone, and am super excited about my future and the future of work. I'm not at all in crypto to get rich quick... I'm a blockchain enthusist who sees the potential to make the world a much better place and to fight against a lot of the power these huge corporations have.

It's not going to be easy, but as long as we keep building, we'll get there!

I see Steem as the way to create a future where my work is neither location-dependent or time-dependent like it is now. I'd love to be able to work from anywhere in the world, and get paid for the value that I add... not for the time that I'm working. The Steem blockchain is easily the most exciting thing in my life for the past couple of decades. The future is very bright!
