[EP146] - Adding intensity to your workouts!

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well!

Easily the best advice I have for anyone wanting to improve their fitness... is to work out for 2 minutes and 30 seconds every couple of days. Let me explain... by sprinting for 30 seconds every 5 minutes, your fitness will absolutely explode. It's easily the area where I've seen the most improvement, and it's something you can do at any stage of your fitness journey.

Sprinting means going super fast for 20 or 30 seconds... like as fast as you possibly can. It works while running, or swimming, or on an exercise bike or cross trainer.

I personally run up a hill.
I sprint up that hill for 30 seconds... and then rest for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. This workout takes about 20 minutes in total, and will destroy you, but it's so worth it.

My fitness levels when I started this... to now, are so incredibly dramatically different. I'm so much fitter than I was... and it affects everything. I can run for longer now that I do these sprints... it helps with weight loss and endurance.

It's hard... you'll want to kill me for suggesting it... but it keep it up for a few weeks and then you'll thank me... then kill me.

Thanks for watching!

Nice topic. I'm the worst at this type of intense exercise. The only thing I do this for is battle ropes, a rope pull machine, and a rowing machine. Sprints would be very wise for me. Stop motivating me when I don't want to. ...I guess I do sprint like I'm being chased when running the bases at my baseball games.
Btw, your door hinges need some WD40.

They so do! All our doors need a little attention from that guy. Thanks for the reminder!

If you could find a decent hill and get some hill sprints... they'd probably help your base running. Possibly... running bases might feel so easy in comparison to some hardcore hill work. Apologies for the accidental Friday arvo motivation. I won't do it again.

Battle ropes are amazing though!
