"STEEM-TWITTER CAMPAIGN HAS NOT BEEN A FAILURE"

in dtube •  6 years ago  (edited)

I am just putting this out there for everyone who is actively creating awareness for steem on twitter. @nathanmars tweeted some hours ago about being worried or bothered about the failure of the twitter campaign (link777). I want to reassure him and everyone who is part of this campaign that it has been a success. Through this campaign i have spoken to more people about steem than i have done in the past 6months; through this campaign i am collaborating with other steemians who may have never noticed me before now. Yes, it might have not met some of our expectation and there is definitely need to improve on certain things but it has been a good campaign. I want everyone to stay focused and promote steem in their own way. Keep hustling

His is the best Dtube video you've made in terms of the setup. You voice is louder, you look bolder and the video is brighter. Yeah you are right, many people are looking up to him and if he ssrts complaining, it will affect other peoples morale. We need that positive vibe from him. Good video.

Thanks for watching. I appreciate

Hey guys @nonsowrites @robertandrew and anyone else who reads this comment. I honestly think you've got the wrong impression from his tweet, and that's not surprising as it's easily misconstrued.

He mentions linkseven77 being a failed project. The linkseven77 project was not the Twitter marketing drive, but his idea to make a steem LinkedIn, this is how I understand it anyway from speaking to him recently. When he announced the zweeet77 (twitter campaign) I'm pretty sure he said the focus was shifting away from linkseven77 and that it wasn't necessary to use that tag in steem posts anymore etc

I'm sure @nathanmars will drop by this post at some point to confirm, or refute what I'm saying lol but I'm fairly certain I'm right about this. Anyway, I hope this might help clarify things.

P.s. I just wanted to add that what you're saying in this video is spot on. It has been a great success in regards to getting people marketing steem on twitter... Big time. Especially when you consider that many Steemians, me included, were completely inactive on fbook/twitter before this campaign, as they're (fbook/twitter) the past and We're (steem) the future. But this doesn't mean we don't need to go let everyone know on twitter what they're missing out on 🙂

Well, thanks for pointing that out. My thought was that the link777 was/is an initiative to connect individuals and projects and promote them on Twitter to attract angel investors. The whole idea was to get more eyes on steem. I remember suggesting to him that we try Instagram but he said the project was geared towards Twitter since we have more crypto enthusiasts there. So I think the linkseven77 was the Twitter campaign but it's constantly redefined. Well, I hope Nath clarifies things. But the bottom line is that we stay focused and not get distracted by any setbacks. That's the point I am trying to make in this video

I honestly don’t think the 777 was a failure but instead just the start of his initiative to foster a community of growth and engagement across the ecosystem and other social platforms. Nathan will definitely continue to add enormous value just because of his perseverance and grit! We can all learn from his passion for the ecosystem!

Yeah, I call him the most passionate man alive. We will keep hustling and creating that necessary buzz this platform needs

He is referring to LinkSeven77 which is about getting 77 communities and 77 projects connected through dtube. He feels it is a failure because he has been too busy twitter hustling that he hasnt made enough videos for the people inside our ecosystem in linking us together.

Thanks for pointing that out. I might have read another mean to it. Anyway, it's important we stay focused.

Secondly, about the interview. Do you have zoom? And is it accessible in China?

Sorry for the late reply. I got to make an account on Zoom without a VPN so it should work.

That's true....from 777 to entire Twitter it was a shaking and cyclonic event all over

Sure there is some name recognition happening. If he was expecting a huge influx of people then he doesn't understand how marketing works.

I do not know fully what his expectations were but I do appreciate the fact that he and everyone who is part of this campaign is doing more than just talking but actively creating the necessary exposure this platform needs. We can learn and build from our mistakes. But this said initiative is the biggest thing on steem right now in my own opinion and we need to keep the momentum

Nice video and we need to promote the #steem blockchain outsuite the blockchain from centralized to decentralize social media.

The steem hustle on twitter is working well, but we have a lot more todo and on other platforms too

Collectively we can make things work better. I believe in @nathanmars and I believe in steem

It seems awfully short sighted to scrap 777. And especially the Twitter campaign. I respect Brother Nathan to the upmost but not sure I really understand this ??

Please don't get things misconstrued. This is the said tweet I'm referring to and you can see that he is still determined to see it through the end. And I am with him all the way.Screenshot_20190220-191933.png

And because of this I have more confidence than ever than we are on the right track :)
... and Nathan is too hard on himself :)

Yeah....expectations are high but we are doing well if you ask me
