My Steemit & Dtube journey started just 3 weeks ago. I have posted 228 times(58 blog/Dtube posts, and 170 comments) and already have 170 followers. All of my content is my original content, some from my archive and some breaking news reports. Posting your own creations and ideas seems to be the key to doing well on Steemit & Dtube.
In the 3 weeks I have already been paid out (to my Steemit account) the equivalent of 2831$ USD & I allso have the equivalent of 110$ USD pending payout.

My account now has 224.351 Steem Power and 172.586 SBD, all of this is with out me making any monetary investment.
So in summery, Steemit & Dtube are great alternatives for Facebook and Youtube( no major censorship). Here you actually can make what you are worth. Nowhere else can you find somthing like Steemit. I am in all the way.

It can be, and be especially hard if one is reporting the truth and not just the MSM narrative. I have been doing it for the last 4 years. I am glad I have found Steemit. Well some times are harder then others(been here for 4 years). I am here with my Wife and 1.5 yo son. Stores work, banks do not( having funds is the hard part for most people), center city is almost normal except for the nightly artillery that can be heard. Thanks for the idea I will start a series on the life of the people that live in different areas, frontline, center city, rural etc.

I'll now follow your reports - although the title and the first part of this post excessively emphasize the monetary component of Steemit/DTube (that's important, of course, but never may be one of the first motivations to take part in the community ;-)).
By the way, the location you mention, "Donetsk People's Republic", somehow brings a hint about the fact you're covering the war from the independentist Russian-speaking point of view. Is it the case? (not telling it's wrong to do so, hehe)

I refer to it as DPR because that is what the local civ population refers to it as. If a person calls it Ukraine most of the people would be insulted. I have been covering the war from the DPR side of the front line since 2014. I show the facts that I see and the information I am told only(not what the MSM shows or what I think). You can read my merry Xcristmas introduction post and others to understand why I am here. The monetary gain is second but it is also a must that I can make my family happy and comfortable. I have been showing the facts to the world for 4 years almost without getting paid. I see know with steemit that steemit and cryto are my chance to do well for my family and continue my work free of charge to the world to people can see what is really happening here
