A Filmmaker Happy to Discover Dtube

in dtube •  7 years ago

Just as we released our film Killing Kora online, I found out about Dtube.

This place has huge potential for independent film! As well as an actual atmosphere :)

I'm starting a channel talking about my experience making this feature length film,

because I learned so much, and I think some of the mistakes I made might be useful information for others,

Are there other filmmakers here? Maybe my insights are relevant to whatever creative project you're working on?

Let me know what you think!

The trailer for our film is here

Full film upload coming later in the week!

Hey there! I just wrote a blog the other day about filmmakers on Steemit. There is also another blog on here and they are trying to get a permanent tag going called #SteemFilm. It would basically be a more fixed place for filmmakers to find each other, and for people to find projects to support! I am also working with a friend to create a potential guild to find and promote great independent films! It is a work in progress, because the only real way to grow the platform is to use d.tube and it's in its infancy right now, but it will be equivalent to YouTube soon enough and then the fillmmakers can roll in!

Hi Beth, thanks! I'm gonna check out your blog, really pleased to know about #SteemFilm and ideas about a potential guild - nice work!

Go ahead and upload to both platforms. Nothing wrong with that. I look forward to what you have to say.

Thanks, glad you think so too.
