Food forest stroll and show: Dome greenhouse and Spring blossoms!

in dtube •  6 years ago

Hello again @dtube and Steem Blockchain! I'm out strolling through the food forest this evening enjoying the blossoms and all the LIFE...that continues to surge!!! This is my favorite part of day...next to sunrise....to just walk and feel all the life buzzing around me. Come take a stroll with me as we dive a little more into the medicinal ground covers, edible bushes...and trees...and grow on this 1/4 urban lot in S. Utah. We also peek inside the geodesic dome greenhouse! :) In each video..... you'll be able to see fruits developing on the trees and other berries and herbs that live here....ripening into edibility! This is my passion and I love sharing it so thanks for tuning in and for ALL the amazing support!!!

We filmed for YouTube last year as well as 10 previous years....but we are now ALL IN on DTube!!!!!! We can't wait to see the growth that is coming for #dtube as well as this blockchain! SOOOOO similar in my opinion to growing a garden/fruit trees. It takes time, patience...and the willingness to BUILD now...for future harvest. I LOVE IT!!!! Please stay tuned...many more Dtube videos coming through Summer...into Fall!!

I mention this book again...at the end of this video. GAME CHANGER!!!! "Gaia's Garden" by Toby Hemenway: https://www.amazon.com/Gaias-Garden-Guide-Home-Scale-Permaculture/dp/1603580298/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=gais+garden&qid=1554424072&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spell

Here is where we purchased our geodesic dome greenhouse kit: Ours is the 18ft in diameter version. https://growingspaces.com/

Happy growing/harvesting!!! SOOOO many of us can emulate these urban food forests in our urban sprawls!!!! Being in a food forest or garden and feeling the LIFE...is just as healthy for us as eating the food grown within it!

for those that have read Toby Hemenway's book, "Gaia's Garden" I linked above...or even if you haven't....here's a fun rabbit hole to go down and learn more: this video was upload by verge permaculture:

"Toby Hemenway discusses permaculture principles, explains permaculture zones and sectors, then discusses how to use resources to their highest purpose. Toby gives you an opportunity to apply permaculture design to your own property with “homework” activities, to get you thinking about what you could do with your yard, garden, acreage, or farm.

This is the FIRST lesson in a 5 part video series is the last class that Toby Hemenway taught before he passed. Toby taught all over the world and left two incredible books behind which clearly delineate the concept of permaculture." Verge P
