Hey Newbs : Treat Steem as a Marathon and NOT a Sprint. Pace Yourself and Don't Get Burned Out !!

One of the major problems I see is Newbs who just joined. And they are excited and the novelty of Steem is overwhelming. So they pump out Content day after day only to get burned out and quit within a few weeks or months.

Well, I have said it before and I'll say it again Steem is a Marathon and NOT a Sprint.

The Key is finding something that is doable for you over an extended period of time. If that means posting only twice a month but you can do that for 3 or 4 years...then do that.

If it means posting three times a week for a few years....then stick with that.

The key is to pace yourself and do something that you can continue to do for years.

The reason ?? Steem is about longevity and the longer you stay the fact is the more probable that you will experience more Succes !!

Please, none of this "posting 3 times a day for two weeks then we never hear from you again" bullshit :)

I found a guy like that from Florida a while ago where he was churning out like five posts a day. I wanted to reach out to him and tell him to reel it in, but I wasn't sure how that would come across. I know a lot of the tribes are cutting down on stuff like that. Even if the posts are decent quality throwing that many out in one day is not helping you at all. It just looks spammy.

I agree with you. Sometimes I have to reel it in a notch. I will get inspiration to do 3 or 4 posts in one day but it is just not appropriate. Even if it's quality stuff

I think two should be the Max and that may be even questionable.

I've just recently started using steempeak more and I love the ability to schedule posts. That lets me get everything down while it is fresh but not go crazy with over posting.

Thanks for the heads up. Will have to check it out

you are spot on for sure it is a marathon and not a sprint and I am here for the long run

I agree, it is a marathon indeed. Newbs need to find that balance creating content and curating content. Many start out just wanting to hit and run, content after content and no engagement.

Yep so true @dmilliz. Thanks for visiting my vlog :)

Thanks for the advice 👍🏻
