I have no reason to doubt Esteban when he tells me he is visited at night by coloured balls of light which come to comfort him when he is afraid. He has never made things like this up in the past and assures me it is not a figment of his imagination. I believe what he is saying and I also believe that children, if encouraged can develop skills beyond our wildest imagination.
The important point is that these light balls (or light beings) are helpful to him. He may be able to benefit from them throughout his entire life. Explaining what they are is of little importance.

Agreed. He seemed very positive about them and there was nothing about his story which felt worrying. Time will tell if they stick around. And yes, labelling them is more for convenience than anything else.
