Great North Run 09th September 2018

The Great North Run, the biggest half marathon in the world and I took part in it on Sunday 09th September 2018. What an amazing day! The atmosphere was amazing, there were thousands of supporters all round the course, giving out jelly babies, oranges and ice pops. It was a hot day, not the best weather for running but you would think I was used to it after the London Marathon but I still struggle in the heat. The course itself is tough, plenty of uphills and not much downhills but I finished and thats all that matter.

                        Way to go @shazza! Heat and humidity are no joke. I never get fully acclimated, so I am always happy when cooler temperatures come back around for fall running!
