Strawberry Switchblade a new wave duo formed by the Scottish Jill Bryson and Rose McDowall in 1981. Famous for their song 'Since yesterday' and their eye catching appearance precursor to the Gothic Lolita style.
After the success of their first single 'Trees and flowers' in 1983 they came back in late 84 with a new hit ' since yesterday ' who topped the fifth place in the UK hit list in 1985 and also hitted in various part of Europe and Japan. Since yesterday was never part of any album but was included as a extra track in their album 'sunday morning'.

Later when their popularity was waning in 1986 the group was disbanded however they remained popular in Europe and Japan. Rose mcDowal kept playing in several local groups, while jill Bryson only came back to the music scene in 2013 as song writer in a band named the Shapists (named after the fictitious art movement in the film The Rebel), that includes her daughter Jessie Frost.

here is a link with the interesting story of the duo, I recommend to read this because these two were amazing.
