SteemDance - Date Night

People with great passion can make the impossible happen!

Yesterday I posted a sneak peak aka behind the scenes video to show you how dance videos are actually created. In case you missed the previous post, click here to watch the video.

When you plan to shoot a dance video with more than 1 person, it is very important to work on your synchrony. Even though it is still passion, you need to put a lot of work into every move so it comes out the best way possible. @selenanunu actually just learned this combination at the exact same day when we shot the video. I am very proud of her that she decided to spontaneously learn these steps in order to shoot with us. 

@lisadang is a huge Chris Brown supporter and loves the vibes of his songs. She picked out the choreography to Date Night, which was created by Nicole Kirkland a very well known female choreographer from Los Angeles. 

Since we all are very busy working right know, it feels kind of refreshing take some time off and let the passion overtake your body. 

When I first started to dance, I had no idea that one day it will be so important to me. When I feel happy - I dance. When I feel sad - I dance. When I feel excited - I dance. I could go through many emotional states but my answer would always be the same. Dancing is a way to express my feelings without the need to say a word. 

Nicole Kirkland 

Nicole Kirkland is a professional dancer, choreographer and instructor in LA. Originally from the Bay Area, she received her training in studios, dance companies, and conventions. She began dancing at the age of 2, teaching at the age of 16, and at the age of 20 she was already a working choreographer in the industry. Nicole’s choreography talent is apparent in both industry and community dance. On the industry side, Nicole has choreographed for Prince, Teyana Taylor, Ceelo Green, K. Michelle, Kehlani, Paloma Ford, Tayla Parx, Liv Warfield, E40, 3rdEyeGirl, Iakopo, Judith Hill & many more. On the community side, Nicole has choreographed for hip hop companies The Lab, immaBEAST, GRV and Gravy Babies. She also was a finalist on Nigel Lythgoe's Every Single Step Season 2 choreography competition show. Nicole continues teaching classes and setting pieces for studios, workshops & dance teams around the world.Urban Art: Intermediate/Advanced: Urban Art is an on-video, urban dance class that focuses mostly on character, expression and story-telling through current music.
