Bought a lock pick set with BTC and trying to pick some old locks

I recently bought a lock pick set with Bitcoin from Ace Hackware. Lock picking videos have made me curious about the method of picking and I decided to buy some picks and some old locks from ebay without any keys. Off camera I was able to get the big lock open by using the rake and then single pin picking till it opened, I was amazed and did it in about fifteen minutes.. Hah much longer than the Pros I see online doing it in under a minute.

Unfortunately during this video I was not able to get the lock to open again. But now twice I have been able to open this one lock with the pick set, the second time took about thirty minutes. It seems the other locks I bought have a free spinning cylinder and im not sure how to apply tension to those. So ive been mostly playing with the big one since it lets me put tension on the cylinder.

A link to the lock pick set I bought, check your local laws before purchasing. In some states and locations its illegal to own these but luckily where I live its not an issue.

I plan to practice with it more and I think I am getting the feel for the pins inside and giving me a better impression of what I am doing with the different tools. Using the rakes along with the single picks seem to work the best, as I can catch a couple pins with the rake and then get the rest with the picks.

I can only operate the picks for about fifteen to thirty minutes before my hand starts getting sore. In this case of the video I went for as long as I could though the lock did not open for us this time around.
