Dead Or Alive 6 (PS4): Beta demo impressions with Ayane and Diego

We had a chance to play the Dead Or Alive 6 Online Beta this weekend. Here are a few key bulletpoints we found while playing:

*When playing online, you'll be notified if your opponent is playing on wi-fi or through LAN. This is GREAT because you can choose right off the bat if you want to play against the opponent. Tekken 7 has something similar but you don't know if they're playing on wi-fi or LAN.

*The clothing damage is reasonably realistic. If you're looking for something like in DOA5:FR, you won't find that here. Honestly, while playing the game, we weren't looking for the damage but it was neat how it was handled (in our opinion).

*The close up of someone getting grilled (punched in the face) was actually a neat feature. We know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but we hope for Koei/Tecmo's sake they turn it off. We recall a similar aesthetic feature is found in Mortal Kombat 9 & X and Art Of Fighting 1 and 2 (talk about old school).

*We found that Diego is slow while Ayane still retains her speed.

*There's a bound system in this game similar to Tekken 6/TTT2 and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. What's cool is you can do two bounds to extend your combos unlike the two games mentioned.
