Hey Steemians!! Today’s topic for my first @dtube vlog is about striving for perfection. Are you guilty of it?
Perfect is a funny word. It’s something that so many people strive to achieve, yet so few do. Nobody in this world is perfect. Don’t forget that. And because of that, you should really stop trying to get there!
I’ll admit it, it’s hard. We see so many people around us doing what we think we should be doing. After all, we are programmed every day to try to be as perfect as possible.
That’s not what it’s about though. If you think about it, nobody in this world is perfect. So why strive to be? Isn’t the imperfectly perfect personality of each and every one of us, what makes us who we are?
And with that said, it translates directly into steemit. I was trying to be perfect. I wanted to be the top notch creator. I had learned so much from all my journey’s along the way, I saw this as the best place to put it all together. I was holding myself to standards that nobody should. I wasn’t having fun with it.
So cut that s*** out!!! Don’t strive to be perfect, strive to be you. Because in the end, being you is what makes you…
Perfect.
I believe that everything I desire to accomplish, will in fact be accomplished.

I feel you. I was trying hard to be perfect too but at some point, reaching at a highest point is good for us in order to reach our potential and to know where we really can. So don't aim to be perfect , aim to be the best you and reach as far as you can.

I agree with you, The word Perfection is very abstract, nobody knows the real meaning, and sometimes we get a very deep misunderstanding about it. As far as I am concerned the word perfect or perfection suits in one person who is God, He is the only one who can judge us. In conclusion, the world full of Imperfection is what it makes life perfect.

I grew up in a place where people had the mindset that things weren't worth doing if you weren't going to do them (almost) perfectly. Then I visited the US for the first time when I was 19 and saw how people able to achieve great results with half-assed ideas and slightly above adequate services. Positive attitude counts for so much!

That is so true! When I was in DR for 5 months, that was the mindset. If you can't do it 110% then you aren't good enough, don't do it at all. But the truth is you need a fraction of that to create something really amazing! Thanks for taking the time!
