What it Was Like to Do a LIVE Show on Stage!

Hi SSS Fam!

It was such an interesting experience to try and take our show aesthetic and replicate that on a stage! Especially because many of the people in the crowd aren’t on Steem and had never seen our show before. We had a lot of fun prepping for the show and trying to figure out how to bring a mix of comedy and helpful little nuggets.

For those who missed the recording of the show, it’s about 15 minutes and you can watch it HERE.

This was Mary’s FIRST time on stage and so we also chat about how different it feels to be going on stage and chatting in front of a live audience instead of being in the comfort of our studio. There are no outtakes or options for post editing when you are in person!

One thing that we both agreed was super nice, was having each other up there on stage! There is something really comforting about knowing you have someone else to help guide the energy and pick up the slack if one person hits a wall.

I definitely think having a year’s worth of chatting together on camera has helped us get into a super comfortable flow together. It was awesome because we had SO many people come up to us after the show exclaiming how much they loved our stage presence together. It was lovely and Mary and I can both agree that it was an awesome experience and totally something we would do again. In fact, in this video we joke that we should do a show at Steemfest and just roast a bunch of people. Could be funny.

We hope you guys enjoy this video and hearing what it was like to do a live show!

Ps... this picture was shot by the talented @captainbob! Thanks for the photo!

It really was a such a super fun presentation! Don't sell yourselves short, you were both great and just so likeable. People came up to you afterwards because you were good. Obviously a lot of the other talks were super technical, but that's what people were there for... so they could have skipped yours... but no one did because MAXIMUM FUNNESS!

Also....... prizes.

I actually wouldn't have guessed that you were nervous @maryjaney... it did not seem like it at all, even when all the questions spilled out, you both just made it work and it was ace.

Can't wait until the SSS convention (please make this a thing)!

aww we can always count on you for an SSS pep talk! Thanks for being in the crowd and laughing at all of our jokes! haha

And yeah Mary did a great job hiding her nerves. Such a pro!

We may need to build a slightly larger audience before booking an entire convention. 😂 We'll just bring it to Portland so we know you'll be there for sure. haha

Finally got to watch this ! Great job. I would be terrible speaking in front of people!

aww thanks @goldmatters!! It was a really cool experience!

Standing on a stage where there are dozens if not hundreds of people watching you takes a lot of balls (figuratively, of course). I applaud you girls.

Thank you @chadrona! It was definitely a good growing moment for both of us!

Yay!!! Live SSS!!! How fun. You guys are like "practically Oprah!" Ha ha ha. Lea, I haven't seen you in a few months. Your hair is so long!!! Mwa! Love you girls.
