NepalNow - an animated video to promote tourism after the earthquake of 2015

Fear Kept the tourists away from the Himalayan Shangrila for a long time after the earthquake of 2015.

Nepal relies heavily on tourism to feed part of its population. Prior to the devastating earthquake of 2015, Nepal saw close to a million visitors each year but Nepal experienced darkest days immediately following the two powerful quakes of April and May 2015. Tourist stopped visiting Nepal largely due to mainstream media focusing on the destruction of the buildings and monuments caused by the earthquake. In reality, Nepalese picked up the pieces very quickly and moved on. Tourism sector was one of the fastest recovered industry and they were ready to service clients but they were coming in fewer numbers mainly due to the fear of safety.

This video is a small effort by www.nepalsutra.com to help promote Nepal to the world.

Hey Matt ,

Heard you just returned from Nepal. Was it all that safe to travel to Nepal ?”

Oh yes, It was absolutely safe to visit Nepal. I really enjoyed my trip there. Let me show you my awesome experiences of Nepal.

Nepal overwhelmed me with the amount of adventure activities they offer. The country is full of smiling people which made me immerse in their culture instantly.

I hiked some of the best trails in the Himalayas and even climbed few smaller peaks.

Jumping off the cliff on a paraglider was simply awesome and out of this world experience.

I do have to admit that I am an adrenaline Junkie so went Bungee Jumping off one of the deepest river gorges. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhh Hoooooooooooo. Yeahhhhhhh.

When I had the opportunity to Kayak some of the best white waters in the world, I simply could not resist.

Even took part in the World’s Highest Mountain Biking race in the Annapurna Circuit, crossing over Thorong-La Pass at 5416 meters.

And then, spent some time exploring the jungles in the southern plain looking for Royal Bengal Tigers in the lush national parks of Nepal.

You will be amazed at the amount of festivals and carnivals they have in Nepal. I was fortunate to see quite a few of them while I was in Nepal.

And then, it was time to say good bye to Nepal for now. But I know I will go back to Nepal again to explore more.

Attention all passengers,
Thank you for visiting Nepal and we hope to see you again.

Sounds like you had an amazing time in Nepal. I will visit Nepal as well real soon.
