Carvlogging: Let's Cruise And Chat About Business And Markets!

in dtube •  7 years ago  (edited)

People don't care about your business. They care about their problems. Be the solution that they're looking for. - Melonie Dodaro

Also content consumers don't care about your blogging success, they try to fulfill their own needs.

That perspective brought me to a new idea I'd like to present you in my today's vlog.

To watch my vlog on DTube just click on the above image - and here's the backup low res version on Youtube:

Side note:

I had the extraordinary pleasure and honor to be interviewed by @wadepaterson in terms of his new "20 Questions: The Steemian Series".

Please feel free to check out the Q&A and upvote it in case you like it following this link. Thank you so much for having me, Wade! Being the first one in 2018 really makes me proud :-)

Have a great day, Steemians!

Best,
Marly -

That´s a smart idea to do, if you know what your content consumers want you will have better results, this is pure strategic and operational marketing... well done

Thanks a lot @diogosantos! :-)

You are welcome @surfermarly, I don't have any suggestion yet, because I just found you!
obviously now I'm following you, and when I find a smart theme to offer/suggest I'll do it!!

I’ll be shooting a video whilst I drive today as well! Cheers 🍻 and good morning! 😃☀️

Cool! Make sure to get your hands-free car kit installed before starting to vlog. Safety first! :-)

@surfermarly I will. Thanks a bunch. ❤️🥂

Let’s talk about what needs to be done to improve Steemit, Dtube, etc... to make things more honoust and fair and attract more users!
You are an established member, so if you would bring those concerns it would be accepted easier...
Though one hé 🤦‍♂️ I know 🤟

Let’s talk about what needs to be done to improve Steemit, Dtube, etc... to make things more honoust and fair and attract more users!

Actually I don't think that we should focus on attracting more users rather than trying to improve the user retention. We've got 600,000 registered users but only a bit more than 300,000 (50%) are active users. There's still a LOT unused potential.

I've repeatedly wrote about these topics in the past, and I'll definitely do it in the future as well :-)

Well I just saw your Vlog for the first time indeed :) and i am really impressed by your thoughts that you want the opinion of the Masses/consumers that what they actually like. I think this is very great technique to attract the consumers towards this @surfermarly

Lolx Driving in this city is like an adventure that line actually made me laugh abruptly :D :D :D

By the way Great Idea, Great Initiative

My Support is always with you

Stay Blessed, Steem On!

Hii @surfermarly,

Very nice to see you while driving and chating on Dtube. You have always wonderful and creative ideas and plans. I realy impressed with your multi-talented personality. I appreciate you and Support (UPVOTED) you for your efforts here,. Keep it up.

Honestly, i think your advice is wonderful, providing content that can help solve peoples issues is a great. understanding the lane you driving is very important, you're able to focus on and deliver useful content.

Well obviously for newcomers like me it would be great to have tutorials that are focussing on steemit - best way to grow, how to gain more SP etc, certain things that are not so obvious like the fact that my comments actually often earn more than my posts... But I do love your surfing videos so just continue with those, maybe some surfing tutorials for beginners, maybe best places to surf etc, just make sure you enjoy creating the content :P

Well it's always kool to see and hear you instead of reading your thoughts on a particular post. Sometimes I'm busy with many other things as my time is not always my own but I'm able to listen while I do. This was actually nice today to sit and listen but not only that but to also hear the tone in your voice and see expressions from you to get a sense of what you are saying. I've no real choice on what you're options should be for posts other than yourself. You see, a salesman has a product to sell but in the end the salesman doesn't sell the actual product to the buyer he sells himself. Your topics are very interesting to begin with but I'm essentially here for the one who is delivering it. If the topic behooves me in some way then that's a bonus for me. If you need some nudging in a direction that interests me well lets see more on the Islands you're in and video is a must. I like the way you speak of the steemit platform and general topics pertaining to steem and steemit. Surfing vids and the music within them is a must! I have to say that other topics that interest me are covered by others and I'm here with you for what you already provide which is Surfer Marly! I always enjoy what you're doing and you've inspired me to continue here on stemmit. For these reasons I thank you! You were one of my first interactions here on the platform and have been a pillar in my steemit foundation. I think you navigate the forks in your steemit journey well enough to have become the success that you are today. I only wish I had more or better suggestions for you my friend. I'm sorry that I'm not more help!

I love to carvlog. Maybe I will join you and do these again. I am new here so please check out my channel.

Nice idea.such a geeat artical

Thank you
You are lucky
A few minit later you were going to be a lot of income.
I'm glad your achievement in dear @surfermarly

and you most know

"people for people,,

last i #resteem your post

This is the very first dtube video that I enjoyed. Maybe you can vlog about how to create a dtube video that doesn't buffer. Your video was perfect and didn't buffer one time. I've tried creating dtube videos twice and both took forever to view. I was kinda worried about you driving while vlogging, but very enjoyable. I'm going to follow you, to see what you end up doing. Enjoy and be safe.

Have you joined the discord channels already?
There's a @dtube chat where you can address (technical) questions like that. I'm pretty sure the developers will be happy to help. If you don't have received an invitation to the server yet, just drop me a message at steemit.chat and I send you an invitation link :-)

Regarding "driving and talking": I really didn't expect this to become an issue here. What about free-hands car kits that are used for GPS systems, touchpads, phones, etc. My GoPro is fixed and I control it via voice control, so there is zero interference in my driving... But anyways, I learned that I won't ever publish vlogs from a car anymore - not because I don't want to do it, but because of the community's preoccupation :-)

I haven't joined discord yet. I need to do that, esp. if they can help with the buffering.

Hi @surfermarly !
Will you contest vlog or sport on dtubedor ?
@yann0975

i think this is the first time car villoging or may be i am watching this for the first time wow good

such a smart idea and idea i think talking about steemit and how new users can use it in the appropriate way would be beneficial and thank you

My opinion is that you should talk about whatever you like and you're good at.

If you're good at something, and be yourself, people are going to recognize that and come to you and listen.

I can say that most of people I follow do it that way.

By the way, don't do vlog when driving a car, xd.

I worry about your safety.

Sure! I've always been blogging and vlogging about things I'm good and and thing's I like. Now I'd like to align my own interests with the one of my audience.

By the way, don't do vlog when driving a car, xd.

Maybe I should do a blog about hands-free car kits though. Don't worry about my safety, I already did that :-)

My brother is like that, too.

When he's driving a car, he does like 3 other things.

I told him to be more careful like a million times, but he just doesn't listen.

I guess that's why we need Darwin awards. For 'expert' drivers.

That's why I wrote "hands-free car kit" :-) You can find videos for that on YouTube, too.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I saw that. But you understand the argument you're not paying full due care and attention to your driving if you're blabbing on about something you consider to be impressive (whilst in control of a moving motor vehicle)? We all make risk assessments countless times each day. If you kill someone whilst driving, you and others will have to deal with it. Kill / maim just yourself? Well, you obviously seem to be okay with that. My concerns are primarily with those 'others', naturally.

Spare a thought too for the impressionable people who look up to you? You are a whale, after all! Maybe you are the ultimate driver but maybe others who are not will choose to try emulate their idol, inadvisably? Ask yourself: Does it improve your driving safety? Is it essential for your job (you don't look to be a cop or a robber)? Are you so selfish you're happy to continue having answered no to the two previous questions?

Please tell me, you're not driving right now. :) And people driving on youtube with their fancy hands-free kits doesn't really make it any more right, does it?

First I love that you are doing a video @surfermarly. It's great to see you and hear your voice. I'm so happy you mentioned that Sam Owens had failure it his life. Not that I wish that for anyone but it's encouraging to know that failure is part of success. I really need to hear that now so thanks.

I'd love to see more carvlogs. I'm sure there are lots of little tidbits of advice we can all hear on them.

Nice☺

Good

love ur post upvoted!

I have always been against automatic vote, if you really build relationships with other users, it implies the reading of their materials and live comments on the subject.

But, I understand that it's hard to find free time for this (every day follow updates of friends and participate in discussions). And auto-vote in a sense is an opportunity to say Hello, to express respect for your relationship. Accordingly, if you withdrew from somebody list you have lost the interest of this person to you. So your actions in this case are absolutely correct.

You brought out some important points here even though I don't really find the link between your comment and my video... (?)

It's noticeable that you dominate the matter, as you dominate the waves!!!! 🤙🏽

Some ideas:
-Steemit success stories, getting interviews with those people and featuring their stories (preferably on video)
-How to make a video go viral
-How to handle and interpret the Steemit Wallet and explaining the features in further detail (your personal recommendations as well)

Hope this is useful.

~Cheers

You are living my dream Congrats!
