There is a lot of talk of late where rumors are that central banks around the world will issue cryptcurrencies. The concern is that most people will not be able to tell the difference.
This means there is the potential for the same situation to be created where people are enslaved.

They will try and control it by maintaining 99% of the 'reserve'. They will also create dozens so the can just abandon one when they mess up.

I can see then utilizing tokens and digital assets of their own but rather or not they will "take off" is yet to be seen.
