weekly steem newsletter for non-steemians, feature to add to ampsteem.com and also putting together the thirty day drip feed.

just a quick update about a new feature that I’ll be doing as I read content around the steem blockchain — one of the best apps I use daily is a fantastic app called flipboard, in some ways I really wish we had a blockchain powered version of it for new on the steem blockchain so that news voted on could float to the top.

For people outside of the steem blockchain without an account it can be hard to see what all the ‘fun’ is about with certain bloggers that you follow on the chain and if they have a busy life they could easily miss things — we have some great shows however on mspwaves (like Steemware Saturdays for instance with @crimsonclad) so maybe that’s your port of call on a Saturday evening to get informed from roots level.

I’m gonna be building up a newsletter that will get emailed out every weekend as well, that way I can collect together a bunch of interesting things on the steem blockchain as I’m surfing and then send out an email every week too and share some opinions at the same time — I’m thinking this will align with recording our audio podcasts or vlogs too so maybe we can combine it all together to give content to positively negative (@teamaudio) and @productsense at the same time.

that thirty days drip feed life

One part of ampsteem.com that I never got around too yet is the slow daily release of quick emails sent daily for brand new users, combined with my free course on the page I think this might be a good way for people who live on email updates and not social media — basically people signup for the ‘drip’ feed and they get emails each day for thirty days, a couple of paragraphs with a dApp, process, advice or power tip.

The best thing about the ‘drips’ is that we can customise them so if people ‘activated’ on a certain email template (one of the drips) we can then start them on another drip automatically or send them to a custom designed landing page to ‘hold their hand’ through, instead of overwhelming them we just send them down another rabbit hole of their choosing, it’s rather cool, I’ve done a few of these before and taken part in a few too.

Great for metrics on free play and you can then see where people are spending their time and what interests them.
