Good morning, something that I wanted to just throw out there seeing as we seem to be accelerating extra special at the moment across a bunch of areas — more awareness of climate, the golden goose of the launch of the bakkt future market and also news that google has achieve 56 qubits of quantum supremacy (which tbh should be the name of the Elon first spaceship if you ask me)
Quantum supremacy is the potential ability of quantum computing devices to solve problems
Anyway, that’s be touted as being 256 qubits of power by 2022, that’s only a few years and a bit away from reality — does this mean that all existing cryptographic systems are open to decryption potential, well some say no but hey, who knows what the state sponsored govs are making behind closed doors right? — he who controls the data, bit like the oil before it wins right?
It’s been estimated that 6,681 qubits would be required to run use Grover’s algorithm to break AES-256 bit encryption.
Either way it’s certainly something I’m expecting to hear more and more in the ‘media’ because it’s one side versus another I’m sure the financial systems will want to get behind anything that will make your ‘funds’ look vulnerable but also at the same time you have to consider the actual impacts of quantum on communications in general — I guess we already can’t decrypt those comms, conversations happening cross the world with countries not able to listen in. .. what a wild world we live in!
Seems to be a lot of advancement happening at pace these days, it’s very cool to see, overwhelming even, exciting but I can see how the generation below us coming up already used to acquiring digital currency will adapt to these value economies better than we ever did — the smart ones in society know that it’s not going away anytime soon.
I also wrote a post a few days ago detailing my approach to video and course over the next few years aligned with the economic forums skills by 2022 guide, it was kinda eye opening what skills are going to be paramount by then and it shows me that hard cash is going away and jobs are going to be history, robots are going to product most intensive things with precision and without taking a day off sick.
