The Trouble Notes - Grand Masquerade (Amazing violinist in Strasbourg)

This video was taken during a winter busking set in Strasbourg, France in December 2016. It was posted to Facebook where it went instantly viral! One year later, the video has more than 65million views and has sparked many new opportunities for The Trouble Notes.

The song is called "Grand Masquerade". We feel that it has resonated so strongly with many people because of the story and emotions that are behind it. The "Grand Masquerade" is the everyday life we live - forced to wear a figurative mask to hide something about ourselves from others. Whether it's a political affiliation, sexual orientation, religious inclination or the like, we have all been forced to suppress aspects of ourselves in the face of the norm. The song traces the internal struggle the individual feels with coming to terms with the mask, as he or she grapples with the decision on whether to remove it, or forever condemn yourself to a life of Masked Conformity...
