How to Replace an Old Receptacle

Hi Steemit friends.
Remember to turn the power off first and then verify the power is off.
It is very important the power has been verified to be off.
It is better to be safe than to be sorry.
If you plug in an 1850 Watt hair dryer it is 15.4 Amps at 120 Volts.
In an older home with 15 amp wire a smaller hair dryer should be used.
We used a 1200 Watt at this house, it is only 10 Amps.
Newer receptacles are tamper resistant to prevent kids from sticking objects into them.
