One of the good video travel blog, Never a fan of watching videos especially due to the absence of patience, but I watched it in fast forward first then almost full in the same recording mode. The Aquarium must be so huge to accommodate sharks, and many other fishes and the octopus looks threatening too.
There was some lessons on the history class about Greece and we know it is having a great culture and getting to watch it through the video was a good experience. What are those remaining of a building like structure? Look like abandoned area, anything related to Greek civilization???
And finally some caves to wind up the show. Overall it was worth to watch the video for the time spent for it, My patience paid off Hehe..
Thank you and Cheers

@angelro I'm glad you liked the video, i had a great time shooting this. The remains of the buildings are from the venetian fortress in Rethymno: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortezza_of_Rethymno

Fortezza of Rethymno
The Fortezza (Greek: Φορτέτζα, from Italian for "fortress") is the citadel of the city of Rethymno in Crete, Greece. It was built by the Venetians in the 16th century, and was captured by the Ottomans in 1646. By the early 20th century, many houses were built within the citadel. These were demolished after World War II, leaving only a few historic buildings within the Fortezza.

It looks like an island with amazing vibes. I like that you included various places in your video and that you also changed music based on what you were shooting. It sounds great! My favorite parts are the ones with the duck family and the grandma walking towards the sign of the city/village.
Correct me if I'm wrong but most of the beaches that you visited were with pebbles, right? There are not that many sand beaches I guess..
Thank you for sharing your video! It looks like you were lucky as there are not that many people around :)

@delishtreats The most beaches are indeed with pebbles but the're some nice sandy beaches. For example, one of the first bounty commercials were filmed on VAI beach in Crete.
There weren't many people around because we were smart enough to visit Crete before school holiday. By now the island will be packed with youngsters.
Thank you for your reply

Tim

I have an open invitation to visit with friends who have a spare house in Crete, and so far I haven't got there. I LOVE mainland Greece and I feel the Aegean calling my name...!
Was this your first time in Crete and have you seen much of the rest of Greece?
CLEVER move to avoid school holidays too! Our friends say it's over-run and not a nice place to be when the hordes arrive. I live in Thailand where we are expecting in excess of 40 million tourists this year!! And so the very last thing I want to see when I travel is another tourist. LOL
Enjoyed the colours and the vibe and am suddenly wondering if we can find a few weeks somewhere in 2020. haha... 'twould be nice.

@artemislives This is the 5th time we visited Crete. we also visited: Corfu (4 times), Zakynthos (twice), Samos, Kos, Lesbos (twice), Karpathos, Rhodos (three times), Peloponessos (all of the peloponessos). I'm sure i must have forgotten a few islands. So yeah, we have seen a lot of Greece. We also visited a lot of other countrys, also been in Indonesia a few times and thailand is on my todo list :)
It's best to visit Greece before all the tourist instead of afterwards. If you have the chance to visit Greece, go for it!
