Do you wear pants on your head? If that's the case you might want to follow my footsteps and wait 10+ years into your music production to buy studio monitors.
I advise you take the smarter road, buy a pair of studio monitors ASAP. They are the translation device between you and your listener. Studio monitors are just as important to your sound as any synthesizer.
It's easy to skip over studio monitors. They don't have flashing lights, knobs or make sounds themselves. Without a decent pair of monitors even the best synthesizer won't translate to the listener.

I haven't bought studio monitors yet, but I've only really just started to setup a home studio. For years, I just didn't have the space. Now that I have space I'm shopping around for a set of monitors. Personally, I've been looking at getting the Yamaha HS5 monitors. They're well respected and quite a bit smaller which is nice for what I'm trying to build / setup. I've heard great things about the HS8s too.

Yes it is right...but...truth is "studio monitors" needs "studio rooms" to go with. For not treated rooms maybe a good pair of headphones is a solid solution.
