What have you been working on this evening? Znap day 34

in dtube •  6 years ago

Scott and I have been busy working on a couple of projects instead of watching TV. It made for a very productive evening.

I worked on a promo for the discord server Steem Terminal that @brittandjosie, @thekittygirl and I created to help new people get real time answers about Steem and Discord, teach them how to use discord to enhance their steem community experience and locate a mentoring community. You can see that post and video here. https://steemit.com/dtube/@heyhaveyamet/n9279ujx

Scott is trying to find music that are in the science fiction novelty genre. He always comes up with some strange stuff. At least it keeps him interesting.

What have you been doing this evening?

Thanks for watching and see ya soon!
Ren

I thought you might be interested in some food fixes for high cholesterol. This was quite a scare you had. I truly hope you are feeling better and i'm glad to say it sounds like you are.

You asked on another post about how people got scared by health and made changes after that. I was so fat on Oct 5 2007, that my stomach jammed the steering wheel on a freeway curve and I came within inches of hitting the wall. That was the day I decided to lose weight or die trying since I was apparently going to die anyway if I could not fit behind the wheel.

Four years later on Oct 10, 2011 I got to my goal weight and have never looked back. The first 3 years were a huge struggle and most of the weight came of in the last year when I learned everything I promote today.

Firstly, holy moley! Thanks for the opportunity to compete! I foget that i enter these things and then get real surprised when i win. Thank you so much.

I will definitely read the post and i appreciate you thinking of me. I havent done as much reading as i wanted to do because i get so tired. It is frustrating to be down to doing one thing at a time. Not used to that.

You are an inspiration. I am determined to lose the 60 i need to, but in a good healthy way. I've got to do something.

Thank you so much my friend. I appreciate you so very much.
Ren

Slow and steady wins the race. Start small - get one or two good habits going and then go to the next. This is so much more effective than a big overhaul.

A few changes at a time adds up in a few months and you will have a wonderful change going on.

A big plan is disruptive and often crashing and burns in weeks if not days.

I'm also sick these days and in and out of bed while working. I hate it!

I'm glad you won, and thank you again for joining in :)

Oh my god, I love you guys. Those hammocks rock. In the cool sense but also, literally rock a by baby, side by side, minus the unnecessary tree business. So awesome.
I have recently made a tree change (I have heaps to write on the subject, but am not sure where to start). We were given an out door couch as a house warming gift from my sister, it has come inside, And has become the Nintendo gaming champion chair. I think tree changing will take time.

I've been on steemit over two years, and am yet to harness it's full potential. My husband signed me up and got me Steeming, I could not have navigated it without him, he is super busy looking after our family and working so hard, he doesn't have the time for looking at all the other avenues that have opened up with steemit since we signed up in July 2016. I just wanted to thank you for your post regarding noobs and introducing them to discord etc, for engagement and retention. Some of us oldies could benefit from this too. It is a different terrain than it was.
I am different too and am looking to connect with more sub communities.
I joined steemit an athlete and nurse in recovery from multi marathons, little did I know I was not getting better and 2 years later I am a house bound but proud, hopeful writer / artist / creative / hope fully homesteading mother, looking to find how I fit in the world as this very different person.
@xcountytravelers, please show this old steem engine how to run on the discord tracks. I had an account or 2 but I lock myself out or forget my number thingy. I will re-register and then will sit in my discord "room" hosting a party with no guests. 😂 if I drop my discord invite to you when I register AGAIN can you swing by to show me the neighbourhood? PLEASE!
I am keen to start posting again. I have spent time commenting and scrolling around lately, which is a little bit hit and miss on steemit. It is time to engage more effectively.
Thanks again for the post. The dtube video was awesome . That's another mystery I need to solve, vlogging with dtube. Baby steps though, I will register for discord and go from there. ☺

Sure thing! I would love to connect with you. Here is the link to Steem Terminal. When you get on, just connect with me. It will be wonderful.
