Having told us why you will be quiet for a while will stop everybody sending in the Cavalry to check up on you.

Girl I got you all up in my prayers, your good, you are cool we all have problems and life does suck sometimes but we come out of it and have people to grab our hand and be blessed in general. I was just thinking about you and wondering where you have been! Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about your mom! I do hope she is okay, I'm sure she is so happy you are coming to stay with her and give her lots of love and caring. It is so scary when our parents get to the point they are falling...our worst nightmare. Glad your aunt and uncle are there, perfect timing! Keep us updated, we'll keep you and your family in our prayers @snook, we'll miss your smiling face and beautiful sense of humor! Hurry back! :)

I'm glad you are OK. My biggest take away from this? You need to take care of Snook because you are very necessary in several lives right now. If you don't you won't be much help to anybody.
You'd have to know my mom, but, when she broke her hip (getting up off the toilet)(My first reaction was laughter) she decided she'd wait a while and see if it didn't get better. I helped her outside where she had a cigarette waiting for the ambulance.
My Dad who was suffering from Dementia and was pretty confused rode in the ambulance and I took a little time to close up their house and go to town and the hospital. I got there just in time for the pre admission garbage and was with mom as she explained allergies (morphine which is very germane) and such. Came the question "Do you smoke" Mom said "No I quit". "Good for you" said the admissions person "How long ago?" "About 2 hours." said mom.
I've been through this a couple of times. If you need to talk about stuff or have questions about the 'drill' you can DM me anytime.

Sending a prayer that your mom recovers well, hon. As much as possible, please take care of yourself too. You just do what you need to and don't worry about trying to 'get everything done'. (Well, showers are good so keep those up.)

Thank you!! yes, it's been a lot. it will also be a long slow recovery for her. I will be here until the 15th of February and then my son will come to live here for 4 months.
We are hoping by then she will be able to live on her own all again.
