@nathanmars, Really important points highlighted and it's vital for sure.

Business expands with effective relationship with customer: Absolutely true and if we will not going to develop the relationship and connection then we will going to move towards the Discontinuation. So everything needs efforts and dedication and it's not one day process, so, we have to engage, connect and develop our audience and most importantly change is important because Stagnancy will not going to take us anywhere.
Comments are feul: In my opinion Discord is really amazing tool but, i think that it's in taking the large amount of comments there. So if we redirect all that Engagement on Steem and Dtube then in my opinion the Rate Of Activity is also matters in the field of Business because at the end of the Rankings of platform matters because, higher the ranking, the more reach will be attained by the platform in Search Results.
Let's hold the Multilingual Idea: If we are just concentratimg towards English content then this platform will grow to limited extent, so, we have to hold the International and Multilingual Mindset, and have to consume other language content too, and here we have an option to educate others means, if the content is not in English then we can request them to continue what they are doing but just leave few lines of English Description and in this way no matter what language we can connect with the video and when we welcomes everyone, then everyone can welcome next batch of everyone and this cycle can be continued.
Every new user is future: We should welcome new people with open arms because every new individual is future, and sometimes to bring the change in life, we have to think ourselves in position of others, means, we all know that, our thousands of comments stood untouched and unresponded and we know the pain of it, so now we have the opportunity and we have to bring the change and have to welcome new users and in this way we will going to make strong future base and we can run effective Relay because if veterans retires then next batch of Steemians are ready to lift the weight until next batch is ready.

We all are equally important in this Economy and at the same time, we all are equally responsible to expand the Economy, some are leaders but sticking with roles are important to stop the sinking and moving towards step by step growth.

Big things indeed! Positioning, developing, advancing, learning, training - the key here is that it is us getting better WHILE the platform and the market recover. Next bull we will be more prepared, more ready, more welcoming, more organized!

My most recent post was not a dtube, but has some of the thoughts I have been thinking about in terms of communities and engagement. We can use steem to do many things, and currently there are more things to do than ever on steem! But we also need to remember that there is as much, if not more opportunity to be consumers of content, askers of questions, entrants of contests, commenters and watchers of videos - more opportunity to be a participant than just creating content!

While I do agree that we should all be creating content, I appreciate and admire your firm stance that only creating content is not the full picture!

I also am wondering how we can team up with @surpassinggoogle's project, who is trying to create communities with the tag feature (ulog-DIY, ulog-botany, ulog-memes, etc). The #ulog project I think fits perfectly well within the dtube universe!

Finally - thanks for the explanation on the tags! Very helpful! Resteemed.

You're 100% right about comments @nathanmars. I've been on steem 16 months and it has been up down and all over the place in regards to the level of vote support on my posts... but, and I feel this is an important distinction... it was only when comments got less on my posts that I started to feel seriously despondent about steem.

The truth is that comments are the only indicator that people are actually reading/watching/listening to content that you put out. After receiving 0 comments (other than bots) on some of my creative writing posts, I decided to put less creative writing on steem. Writing is what I studied at university, and I feel like that content is to a very high level, so I made the conscious decision to start saving it to send for consideration to mainstream publication. I'm not wailing on steem here, just articulating something I've been worried about with our community for some time now. The fact is that as a writer I was happy knowing people were reading and enjoying, or even not, but at least engaging with my work. The money was secondary, and a lot of fiction writers and poetry writers would say the same. But the engagement levels on steem right now is so low, that a vast proportion of these people are leaving.

This is why what you, and many others in the community are doing, is crucial. Talented people are paramount to the success of this platform as the content is the front facing market of steem. If the bleed of talent continues then steem becomes severely limited in its appeal. This platform needs wide and varied subject matter, especially if crypto enters mainstream at some point.

Ha ha, anyway just musing on steem. Keep up the good work m8

Hi brother. For myself, I seldom chat is discord it self. I do not have the time like others who are constantly checking their discord and chatting away in discord.

Your initiative is good, however, I think not many people will or can remember when there are commenting on others post. I for once are commenting on post that interest me, I will definately reply back whoever comments on my post. But to use the hashtag as you mentioned will be a hard time to adapt.

I will continue to comment, but if I forgot to use the hashtag, I hope it’s ok. I’m thinking more for the newbies, they wouldn’t know your requirements and so fort.

I understand why you want dtubers to use the hashtag. But, like I said, it will be tough for people to adapt. My 2 cents.

I still have some concerns regarding these hashtags. Some in this group might understand the meaning but how are new users or users outside of this group going to know what they mean? Could this be adding to an already difficult learning curve when joining and learning the ways of the platform? I could see explaining in the description of our own content so that people would understand when commenting but what about when we comment on a new users post? If we put snapcomment to comment and end engagement, they might be confused if they respond and get nothing in return.

Also, regarding the resteeming. It is nice to be resteemed by you and I think it is great that you spread the love but I think it might be losing people in the crowd.

Adding to comment something like "came from ex.@nathanmars resteem" I think that would be an interesting experiment to measure impact of resteemed posts. I will be honest and admit that I'm clicking on them less and less due to the shear volume in which they are hitting my feed.

I just wanted to leave my honest feedback. I appreciate all of your efforts. Hopefully I will be able to contribute more after I complete my previously planned commitments.

I have the same concern like @to7, mr. @nathanmars. Being on this platform is already hard enough for newbies especially, but I understand what @nathanmars wanted to do. He wants people to start engaging and commenting especially on their content posting.

It will be hard to implement new features, but by doing it continuously, eventually it will be a habit to do so. Just my 2 cents.

My Resteems are kind of a experiment at the moment to let people connect more. Please feel free to unfollow me and I've already asked everyone to unfollow me because I've received an feedback last month and I'll certainly won't take it personally.
Regarding the comment hashtag it's just an optional tool to indicate our intentions clearly and please remember everything is an idea at the moment and as we go forward we'll simplify things and make it easier for everyone.
@kawaiicrush has simplified the three types of snap comments at the moment:

#snapcomment - quick comment with no engagement required or desired (maybe you are in a hurry)

#snappluscomment - open to engage with others and talk to whom you left the comment for (probably the one I use most)

#snapfeedback - you might be giving advice, or possibly saying you really liked a particular thing and that you would like to see more of it.. but any sort of advice or feedback pertaining to the video or content you watched/saw. I would assume you could also say negative things but hopefully in a kind way such as "your music was a little loud, I could not hear what you were saying".. :)

I hope this helps a little.

I just wanted to mention that I'm viewing less and less of them primarily so you have the feedback. I do believe that there would be more impact with a little less but that is just my opinion and may not align with your experiment. If they do become a nuisance to me then I will unfollow you and I'm glad to hear that you would not take it personal.

I started adding a note in my comments which states that I discovered the post via your Resteem when I click on one to watch. I have not been tagging you but rather using nathanmars because I did not want to flood you with tag notifications. I'm not sure if that information would assist you in your experiment. Please let me know if you would prefer that I do not reference your Resteem in the comments or if you would like a proper tagging.

I will try to use the hash tags where I feel that they are appropriate but in most cases I'm unsure. I will keep them in mind. I understand that they are another tool for you to gauge activity. I just had concerns about confusing people that are unaware of the meanings.

@nathanmars, I truly appreciate every your highly attention efforts for improve community. Without comments I don't think those blogs/ vlogs being active. It mean those post gonna dead. So every Dtubers/ steemians have responsibility to promote and keep active others posts. Comments and Resteems improve their journey. I don't mind make contents more per day. I only make one probably I couldn't with unexpected scenes.
But I made over 10 comments every single days. Firstly I want to watch whole contents and then take imagine and then read description. Finally made comment.

I see many German, Polish, Spanish and other languages content here on Dtube and with zero comments and I’m Resteeming other language’s content and leaving my own comments in English to make them feel they’re part of our community.

You shown us bigger point. These days I made comments only English subtitles included posts. Further I expand to above contents. Also I found some of Dtubers who want only money and not reply their comments. I'll unfollow them soon. Thanks again my friend.

You are so true about discord. I can't agree more. Dtube should be first. Besides commenting on Dtube, I started off commenting on Steemit as that was how I started. And when people chat more on Discord, they might (or may not) comment on the video or blogs anymore.

Thank you for this, it sets as reminders for us and charting what real family business is all about. I did try to enlarge my tent, and finding time to do it too because those we started commenting earlier had then now become our friends too, little by little, then can't also suddenly no longer comment on them. You know, once connected... Relationship. I will try to strategize. I can only see in the future, all Dtubers know one another as friends and become real friends :D family...

So far I try per day commenting on a few whom I have not commented before, and comment on those whom we have become friends. Hope this works. Let's see how it goes...

It is really great to hear from you and your thoughts as always.

While I do agree to the thoughts and ideas of engaging via comments and basically this is indeed one of the most vital point in order to take relations between the users to the next level. For building a connection and a community this is something really important and like you said this will give much more focus in the journey of a Steemian.

The family of Dtubefamily777 will sure be an example and will be the guide in the coming days.

The effect of Snap COMMENTS is already taking affect and it sure is maximizing and allowing users to think a little different which is indeed great

The faster a users grabs the efficiency of the comment the faster the user can make a place for himself/herself in here.

Personally, I am all about meeting people and connecting, mainly in person, but I am learning to be better at this online as well!

Engagement with comments on my posts have been what's kept my journey going on Steemit, it makes total sense to me, so I don't get it either, when I see posts with a ton of comments but never any replies from the poster :(

I'm glad to be more and more active on Dtube nowadays, the (majority of the) community seem fantastic and so authentic :) Thank you for encouraging me to use dtube more when I met you at SF3! Wow! Long video, but you needed to get your points out. I always try to leave a comment where I can, but forget to put the hash tag.

I understand your point about the foreign language posts and the lack of engagement or closed engagement. I follow a few people who post in both their native language and in English. I always overlook their native language posts as I do feel engaging with their content might seem a bit nosy, I might come across as an outsider or even as a spammer for writing in a different language. Could still support them with an upvote.

I'll be looking out for new content creators through your resteems. By the way, how many resteems do you do daily (on average)? Just curious to know.

I'm so sorry for the long video bro and I'll work on that!

Basically my argument about foreign language posts is that those creators are not talking their time to connect with the people who speaks the same language. For example we've people creating content on German language here on Dtube and we've at least handful of german Dtubers here but they're not taking the effort to connect with them. So I've recently start gathering list to help them connected and eventually bring engagement to their content.

Resteems are kind of experiment to identify main challenges that we're facing in our ecosystem and I simply don't have clue.

Very important your point of view, appreciated @nathanmars. I share your opinion about the importance of the comments. In fact, it's almost the only way to create feedback with your followers.
The nature of the human being demands us communication, exchange of ideas. This is why the worldwide demand for the use of social platforms is undeniable.
But what happens when we choose a social platform like steemit and its allies (Dtube, Dsound ...) and we need to exchange ideas with one or more friends?
I particularly practice the exchange of ideas through comments. I appreciate and value the valuable ideas that bring true original content to the platform.

Hey Nathan, thanks so much for including me in the DTubeFamily777, I appleid some time ago and for the life of me I was unable to get a video to load on DTube so I just left it be.
Now thanks to @gray00 and the OneLoveDTube upload it made it a snap so I can now join the DTube Revolution! On Steemit I had always been fasinated by all the people I was meeting around the world and the communities I connected too (DTubeFamily777 included plus even more on DTube as I can now upload) It was done through commenting and asking questions so I get the need to comment and I see with the extra tags it classifies the comments better so others will know how to reply or not.

I totally agree with you. Commenting is extremely important for the community here on the blockchain. This is how we begin to know each other. I do not understand how someone could not reply to the comments in their posts. I am really glad you addressed this situation because I have been seeing many people not comment on any of their posts. Are you planning to take these people out of the "family" if they do not start commenting?

Is very good to have structure and this is what you propose, but we need to consider as well the free flow. We might end up refraining to comment just because we are unsure of the right category. More rules is not making it more easy. For example the 3 comments suggestion is a great idea, but doing it with a specific tag for be will be to much of a hassle and I might stop because of that :) Just saying

Hmm I can not answer for others Dooks but you know me. Long before Nathan I was commenting on people like it was going out of style lol I have the gift of gab :D The tags were given I think to help guide people. I use them because I am in the family and want to give these new ideas a chance. I do understand that perhaps some do the commenting as a chore and not from the heart. I am sorry some do that Dooks. I think the real comments will shine through and we will be able to know who is doing it with heart and who is not. I am interested to hear Nathan's thoughts on this. An interesting topic for sure. You always speak your mind and it is good to share ideas.

I agree with you completely. There are many people who just hope for income, but they forget that the relationship is the biggest. I absolutely agree with you that Discord kinda kills the interaction inside the Steem itself, sometimes I end up commenting a post directly on Discord, so I don't really repeat myself on the comments here, it's weird.

What I usually recomend to starters is using Discord to make friends and discover communities, the general tags are way to messy.

I will open my efforts to focusing more on non-english content.

I hope I can find something to engage in, it's hard if they are just talking and I dont understand what is going on, but I will do my best.

Maybe we can focus on the camera work? Camera, lighting, sound, anything that is universal that doesnt require us to understand the language. That's my suggestion to our fam777.

So when you engage with non-english content the first questions is to ask if they know anyone in our Steem/Dtube community and provide them the list to help them connected with the ones who speaks the same language.

Also note some people are putting English titles and the content is not in English and it's kind of misleading.

And Most people does actually prefer to interact in English!

Luckily I got a delegation from the D-A-CH community. But I still hear it around here from new members. In my posts, I always lead them to communities that help them. Just think STEEM blockchain as apple tree and we need to water and protect the tree so that tree can continue to produce apple for future generations.

Of course I understand the situations in Venezuela and I've friends who're from Syria and Afghanistan too.

I think it's so easy to say Hispanic content is underrated and if I was in your position then I'll reach out to people and who speaks Spanish.

I will definitely spend more time commenting on dtube - you made such a great point that a lot of the personal interactions are happening on discord. I will have to learn what snapcomments are though. :)

@youhavewings I can help you if you wish.. but of course I am sure Nathan can better explain.

So to simplify there are only three types of snap comments at the moment:

#snapcomment - quick comment with no engagement required or desired (maybe you are in a hurry)
#snappluscomment - open to engage with others and talk to whom you left the comment for (probably the one I use most)
#snapfeedbackcomment - you might be giving advice, or possibly saying you really liked a particular thing and that you would like to see more of it.. but any sort of advice or feedback pertaining to the video or content you watched/saw. I would assume you could also say negative things but hopefully in a kind way such as "your music was a little loud, I could not hear what you were saying".. :)

I totally understand, if someone missing to respond to all the comments or if they didn't have the time to respond. Most people have time to create content but no time to respond to comments.

But some people here have a culture of upload and leave and I rather not have them here on Dtube. These people are slowing down dtube's progress.

Totally agree. The comments being like proof of a working business is right on the nail! The comments and interaction for me is kind of like the fuel in a car, the driving force. Comments are like people cheering you on in a race.

My every day a little bit of unconsciousness is growing. I was making post about steem market price on 11.12.2018. I've really learned a lot from dtube. I have seen videos of every dtube post. Who is making video? Then what are they posting about what the subject is doing. But I do not comment on all posts. Because I'm going to comnent on what I do not know about. So I comnent in a few posts every day.

I gave a statas on Facebook on 11-12-2018 about steemit. Many of them have contacted me. Many people are trying to join steemit.
