DTubeSnapQ - What Factors Determine Your Choice, In What Dtube Videos To Watch?

in dtubesnapq •  6 years ago

Yo yo my Steemies, Wattup?

In my first DTube Snap Q, I asked the question;

What's Your Ideal Video Length, From A Consumer Standpoint?

The response was astounding. (Well, to me anyway)

So now, I'd like to explore further, what you, the viewing audience, is looking for, in a @dtube video.

Reply, either in the comments below, or by making your own DTube Snap R (reply) video, and linking it, in the comments below.

Let's all work together, to give each other, what we collectively want.

Discussed in this video, What's the Admirable Length of DTube Vlogs? Poll By @Bobaphet Results + My Take...DSQ by @elsiekjay

Think, Believe, Achieve.

Peace.

For me it's all three.
If I don't know the author, but I see a good title with a great thumbnail.
I click on the video.
But it has to be something that I'm interesting in, for example I won't watch girls talk about make-up or what shampoo they use to keep their hair smooth. No matter the title or the thumbnail..

I disagree that videos should be 3 minutes, I can watch some people's 20 minute videos and enjoy it.
But it has to be interesting, there is a place and time for 3 minute videos and for 30 minute videos.
In the end its all about the quality of the video, and I don't mean the camera or gear. Mostly it's camera presence and the story in the video.

Long story short I'd rather watch 30 minute of a high quality video once a week rather than watch a low quality video everyday of 3 minutes :)

Thanks bro, I'm glad that some people do enjoy a longer length video, and not just the 3 min jobs, especially, if you want to learn something. I especially like the reviews that you do, and I can understand why you're not interested in shampoo :P
Peace.

I have a priority list starting with accounts that watch my videos because I think that is key here for setting up sub communities that share common interests. Then I move to my followed accounts. And then I scroll through the new accounts looking for something that is somewhat original by looking at thumbs and title.

Hi Tim, yes, i think that's key for me too, as if someone is interested enough in my content, to watch it and comment, then we probably have something in common, so it's worth checking out their accounts too. I think that most of the people that I follow, have resulted from them initially commenting on one of my vlogs.
Peace.

Looks at the title. I'm browsing my feed and Dube. Sometimes the thumbnail attracts my attention. I am a visual learner. It happens with a look in the video of the person once and I do not look any more because I'm not interested. I look at new profiles and I am looking for people with my interests. And it works.

Thanks @jozef230. I do similar. I usually check my comments in the morning before heading to work, and bookmark new commenters accounts, to check when i get home from work, when i have more time. Like I just did with yours :)
Peace.

I fall for a thumbnail pic of a big titty babe every time.... fuck my predictability

Haha, I'm surprised how you found my vlog then, LOL
Peace.

I have bad eyes and a drinking problem..... sometimes its a curse.... sometimes its a blessing....

Yoyo. I wanted to do a dtubesnapq asking the same question too. Haha. But you did it already so I will think of another question. Hehe. Good question right? I will read the replies from people coz I want to know their answer. 😊

Thanks @iamjadeline.
Peace.

Great Q
I shall reply to this when I get home.

hy

Awesome. As a video?
Peace.

I read the title of the video and check the thumbnail and see if it's an interesting video. I do check the video length. I find that people can often waffle / ramble on without actually getting to the point.

When I first started exploring dtube and actually posting about a month ago I was just scrolling through which did take a lot of time. Being new I didn't know any better. Since then I have been sitting down with the intention to curate quality vids and it does start with the ones I have found to have creativity or quality messages. @enjoyinglife was the first to make a big impression on me with his philosophical type vids and his bold honesty. I related to that because I meditate and have a lot of the same outlooks. I guess he will know it now haha. He also had engaging thumbnails that made you just have to click on it. So do many other people and that is so important imo. I seldom tag people because I am new and I don't want it to be taken as being used as a tool. I don't see that as productive. Regardless, I look for topic/title, creativity, and my own personal interest. It feels right that way and honest. I'm starting to be more engaged with people that are supporting my new journey that comment and upvote me and finding more interesting people and vids that way. To be honest, if someone is putting heart and effort into a video I don't always have to be interested in the topic. I then upvote for quality. Creativity to me is effort in editing if suitable for the content, a clear message or purpose, educational, uplifting, inspiring, or entertaining. (speaking as a new creator not a expert) on the topic lol So, I hope that answered your question, from my perspective :)

Hmmmm.
