Most people join steem to earn money, because it's a platform that rewards for content we create.
Sometimes people start to tell others that they are here only for money.
They can find any link to that, a username, self upvote, using bots ... etc.
I called myself @clixmoney because we all click to earn money, without clicking we can't do a lot of things on our pc, we click on the mouse million times a day and the same for the keyboard, in fact we are clicking on those keys to type something.
Never judge someone by his name or something else, but you can criticize actions.
Anyway, it's not about me. It's about the idea that it's ok to be here for money, but it's not ok to be here only for money. And you don't have to try so hard to hide that you are not here for money. The more you hide that, the more it's clear that it's not the case. lol
What I mean by all this, is that's ok to be here for money and I don't see any issue in that. After all we are all earning them, and we always can decline payouts if we want. lol
So, are you here for money ? ☺

At 1:55 I think I hear money falling hehehe
When I was a teenager I worked in tourism in Niagara Falls Canada which was my home town. I always have given my all and done everything with excellence. So for example if a customer at the Hark Rock Cafe Niagara Falls asked me for extra napkins I would very politely address them and say something like "Absolutely Sir or Mam I will get those for you right away.. Is there anything else that I can help you with?" so that is just an example. And in all that I do when I am working I do it with all of my heart. But the problem was that sometimes when people saw me doing my very best they would say to me "Oh you just want a nice tip!" or "oh you must want my money".. I would say well I am here working and I am providing you with a quality service but if you do not wish to tip that is ok.. no one is forcing you and I would never ask. But of course I was working for money. When a person walks into a restaurant and they order food.. and at the end of the meal the restaurant gives the customer a bill for the food.. should the customer say.. "Oh you just want my money huh?".. when people get a quality service it has value and that is why it costs money. There is no shame in being compensated for your time, energy, creation, work, etc.
When a baker bakes a wedding cake is it for free? If he takes money to bake that cake does he not enjoy baking the cake? Or is it that he does enjoy it but also he deserves to be rewarded for his efforts and contributions of creating this wonderful cake by the people who will enjoy it!?
There is no shame in doing quality work in exchange for money.
The only shame is people who want money in exchange for nothing. These are the people who are like beggars. Begging for upvotes. But they do not put the work in. They do not work with 'excellence'.
Excellence lives within a work ethic in many situations. You may find a doctor who really goes out of his way for his patient. You also may find a worker in McDonalds who gives you a sincere smile and asks you from her heart "how is your day sir".
Then of course we have the people who do not provide an excellent work ethic. Often these are the complainers. They are reaping or in this case 'not reaping' what they sow. Meaning they do not put the work in and so their work (or lack of it) bears no fruits.
Also for the people who want to say that we should all work for free. I suggest that they turn off the pay out option on Steemit and create daily videos.. spend hours of their time engaging, promote others, collab with users.. and give much of their time.. and show us how they do not become homeless. Because with out money you can not even pay for the internet bill to be able to use Steemit in the first place. You would not have a roof. You would not be able to eat to stay alive.
To me it is shameful when people pretend not to care about money and they lie about it. In my recent video for comedy open mic I proudly told everyone what I thought about this topic.
And lastly for all of you who do not want the money from Steemit. You can forward all of your earnings over to KawaiiCrush I will gladly put it to good use! haha 🤣

My first video to watch of the day :) Yes, I am here for the money but in choosing to sign up here it was motivated by doing something I enjoy to make extra money. I agree, nothing wrong with that. I am very impressed with the community efforts here and without that I may of felt different about the experience. So I think both things work well together. Becoming more and more involved and interacting does make me think less about profit, but at the same time works to show more growth in earnings so its a win, win situation :)

I have really loved you a lot of questions I have presented to you.
You question you are just here for money? Actually your important question is very important in our current beautiful platform.
If you tell me I do not say I am not just for money. I have come to learn a lot on this site and I have been learning that for 10 months. You can check my account and see that I have been using Steemit for 10 months. I have not raised a single money till today. If I had the kind of attitude that I just came for money, then of course I got up from here. I have come to learn a lot from here and I have been learning that for 10 months I have learned a lot from you, who like you are a good user like you, I will not say I am not just here for money

It's nice that you are here not only for money. I'm here one yuear and half and I'm still learning things. So, we always earn here and that's the best thing about steem. So keep learning, keep improving, keep creating content on all dapps.

P.s. : “I'm a very close friend of @soufiani and I'm very thankful that he motivates me to make videos for dtube :), thanks soufiani”
Who didn't do things for money, i means we live for money in thought of becoming rich and fulfilling our luxuries life. Doing things for getting money is 100% excellent but becoming greedy is not.
I totally disagreed with the statement, “Money can't buy happiness” if not then why we are sad if we don't have money

You are right, money is important for all of us and we shouldn't hide that we are not here for money. Of course money is not everything in life, but it plays big role in our life anyway. Thanks for being motivated by @soufiani , welcome to our @dtube family. ☺

Yup I want to add a quote “Once become rich than philosopher” I think it's a very correct quote. Because some of the people are first trying to become philosophers instead of rich I don't know if they are doing these for names.
Yes I feel very good to make my first DtubesnapQ video on dtube :)
Have a great day @clixmoney

Very interesting question. Before I answer this question, I'd like to tell you how I found steemit. I was not referred by anybody or any friend. I was searching for video editing tutorial on the internet. I was interested to find any side job because my mind job did not earn me enough money. And since I like video editing, I was looking to search for video editing tutorial so that I could make some money. But then one of the search result was "video tutorial on how to make money on steemit." And that's how I found steemit, because I was looking for any side job that can earn me money, okay, clixmoney. I came here for the money but stay for the community. Thanks @iamjadeline
And by the way, I I thought you are here because of the money. Tthat's what your username suggest, but now I know you are more than that! You are here for the community.

I have a friend who recently powered down all of his 300SP. He is quitting Steemit and selling his Steem for US$150. His sole focus was on money, but he refused to put the work into his blogs or other areas on the platform. I can see with Steemhunt, Steem Monsters, DTube, etc. multiple ways of generating money on the platform. You have to put the work in to get anywhere.

You are right, we have so much dapps to use. There are a lot of way to earn here.
About people who are quitting or powering down, they seems don't understand how steem is awesome. When I was posting only on steemit for 11 months, I was earning cents from that, just when I joined @dtube I started to earn something. That's why I'm still here, improving an growing. I wish all the best for steem blockchain. It in all our interest to contribute more in the apps. Thanks for the nice comment. ☺

I joined steemit as a way to make money.
Now I use the platform as a way to earn income for doing things that I already enjoy doing. I am happy that I can share my thoughts, words and wisdom and receive rewards for doing things that I already would be doing.

I think why people defend themselves about not being here just for money is because the implication is that you might be willing to say and do anything just for the money or that maybe if you are only in it for the money then maybe you have lower values. That's just my thought on it. It's like the old thing I used to say about YouTubers. There are many on there that are subwhores. They'll do anything for the subscribers.

Incredibly, I strongly agree with this statement, but if I'm private 50% , and for money 50% , but as long as I have never sold my steem here, but buying from a friend is rather good ... And now I just want to be able to go to steemfest4 next year by selling steem, this is my wish,

What the hell lol, i faced the same problem but not with my name, i was posting like 4times a day(at the first time i joined and they said I'm here just to collect money, i was like o.O!! Yeah I'm here for money the platform says you post. You earn and i wasn't spamming or making plagiarism. But they kept saying that, when i invite someone to the steemblockchain i say come and you will earn money, i don't say come to make friends because he/she already has thousands on Facebook!!
So yeah i came for money then i met good friends like you and i was happy that i joined not just for money but because i had the chance to be part of this huge universe.

To be honest I joined here for the rewards, that was my main goal to earn extra income since I started but that was not easy!!! You need to work hard for it. Why ashame of doing your best, going out to your comfort zone, sharing your thoughts, inspire others. I think giving your time in this platform without any reward, we will no longer be here. As you’ve qoute from @iamjadeline we are here for the rewards and we are staying for the community.
Lets earn money to motivate ourseves, to support our needs if we can earn more, we can start helping people in need, we can reach out to those who needs a helping hand. We always need to see the positive ways than criticizing others, most of all we need to accept the fact that we need money to survive that is why we are here to create contents..
Have a nice day!!! 😉

A good question! Hopefully, everyone has and will answer honestly. We came here as one of our 2018 New Year's Resolution's was to do more hobbies as in 2017 we found ourselves living in a new country (not really new for Sam) with no friends, so we relied on each other throughout the year. We always wanted to start a travel blog to showcase our travel experiences and since Sam was getting into crypto at the end of 2017 (October time) he saw in one of his Facebook groups that this platform called Steemit existed. So in a sense it was sign/match as the ability to earn a new found love of crypto through a desire to start a blog (for many years) was calling us. It was a perfect match. As months have progressed, we find ourselves less on the full-blogging aspect (unfortunately) and became a consumer; engaging with other content creators. Yet, we are still active in making content for time to time. Thus, it hasn't been about the money and more about building friendship, relationships and communities. However, as we look to invest in some Steem due to the low prices, our mindset might change as we become literally more invested in Steem. Yet, our philosophy won't change, just two sets of eyes will be on CoinMarketCap rather than one set. ;)
