Look, today’s video is a little controversial but it’s something that needs to be said. Bloomberg Crypto interviewed @ned and said some pretty disturbing things regarding Steemit. So after giving it a lot of thought, I decided to make this video calling on the whales for action. It's interesting that that's the point that caught your attention, I also made a video about this interview (to be posted soon) and there was one thing that the interviewer said that really upset me even more than the 'quality' thing... But your right, it is totally up to the whales to curate 'good' content to the trending page, and tbh they are doing that, but some of them offer voting bots and that's where the real problem lies atm but hopefully Ned will fix this issue with future updates

Without advertising Facebook would be a $0 platform. lol I do agree that whales should help do some better curation though.
Personally I think the .02 earnings threshold might be more of a problem than the trending page though and I think we all need to do a better job of supporting new users and existing users.

We do have @transparencybot now. I think that is good. If you feel there is bad content on the trending page you could try and get it flagged.
Although I feel there is some stuff wrong with steemit I think it does deserve a higher valuation. Even with the problems I am very bullish on steem and some of its platforms like steemit and Dtube and busy.org etc.

Well said. I am with you and intent to produce the highest quality content possible. I've created 2 videos total so far in my life and I'm quite happy with the result.
My equipment list is: 1 Desktop PC, 1 Galaxy Note 5, Shotcut Free Video Editing Program, Adobe Illustrator, Handbrake and Steemit. So much is possible with so little gear!

And that's gives me a question If I'm doing quality in my genre. I'm putting my time, money, power to create something. Let's look at today I wanted to do "Mardax News" But I don't found anything interesting enough for me to write about so I didn't do that. I choose not putting something not worthy enough to post it on steemit for me to not making trash content.

That is what is truly fair. Those that produce good quality should get rewarded for it. All these people crying out for equality should actually just focus on producing quality. I want to comment. But i want. Because i would go crazy and balistic. All i can say is that i think it is up to everyone to keep building their communities up to build on top of that. I get what you mean. I agree and disagree. But i the present situatio where the power and decision it is limited to a very small group of people it would be difficult to see a difference.

Saw the interview and did think the same when he talked about quality. We get his point, but there are loads of hidden gems on this platform. We can only hope there will be a whale or two upvoting for quality content rather than the usual suspects that were probably once great content creators, but might lack in quality now due to complacency. Something to witness as we head into the rest of this year.
