A photo I took a little while back showing the Ha'penny bridge across the river Liffey at the center of Dublin city. This is a pedestrian bridge which was built of cast iron and erected in 1816.
Its correct name is The Liffey Bridge but almost all Dubliners know it as the Ha'penny Bridge. The name Ha'penny came from the cost of a half penny toll charged to cross the bridge.
