If you haven't watched dune then I advice you ignore this post, it's going to be filled with loads of spoilers. So after watching the movie dune, I was filled with so much love for it I had to write my own opinion about it. Well honestly the movie was lit. I saw a lot of similarities between this movie and game of thrones first season where as house astreides reminds me of the Starks of winterfell while house harkonnens reminds me of the Lannister's.
Duke leto Of house astreides is giving the responsibility of ruler of arrakis a planet filled with a mineral called "Spice" which grants eternal life and is very useful for space travel. House harkonnen where once the ruthless ruler's of arrakis till the power was passed down to Duke leto. Duke Leto's son paul is the protagonist and can be seen as fusion of bran stark and jon snow. The movie was great and slow but still I enjoyed every single scene. Well it's not difficult to find similarities between the movie and game of thrones. Almost like game of thrones got some inspiration from the dune books.
