My New Avatar and What It Means

Good Day to all the Steem Fiends out in the Land of Steem and welcome to D Wing's World! Where information and adventure await. This is D Wing and I am here to just fill you in on a small change you may have noticed in my account. The avatar I have chosen means some important things to me and I will illustrate what they are in a few moments. First, I must thank golden arms (@goldenarms) for encouraging me to get a pic for my account.
Upon thinking about what I would want to represent me out there in the Steemit community and especially with those that are interested in precious metals as I am; one thing came to mind Atlas Shrugged. As you can see my avatar is Atlas holding up the earth on his shoulders, carrying the weight of all. The novel struck a chord with me for two main factors.
The first is it shows what true intrinsic value is. Not only in metals is this true but in people. Many people have very high intrinsic value. This is in the form of ideas and dream that can be turned into an item or thing that others want. Most don't realize it, but the reason people are special is because we have the ability to make our dreams become reality. In precious metals the value resides within the demand and supply of the metals. These factors determine what makes people drawn to silver and gold.
The next is that if people are let to do what makes them happy and to develop their thoughts without interference they will achieve greater heights than thought possible. Any man that sets his mind to something and continues to drive for that goal will eventually reach it or get to something even better. When outside forces like the government or people that just decide to try and take others wealth interfere then the intrinsic value within people is reduced down with each attempt.
The third is that a true free market is the only way to have success for everyone. A free market is not fair and at times it is difficult, but it causes people to rise up. It takes the ideas and dreams they have fought for and forces them to push harder to achieve.
In short, my ideals of hard work, freedom, and intrinsic worth are represented by that avatar. I only hope that it illustrates that drive and ideas I have within me. Thank you all for stopping and checking in. Please up vote me and resteem. As always this is D Wing signing off!!
