Why, How and how much ?

Estonia is creating a borderless digital society for global citizens as the first country to offer e-Residency which is a transnational digital identity that anyone in the world can apply for to obtain access to a platform built on inclusion, legitimacy and transparency. E-residents then have access to the European business environment and can use public e-services through their digital identity. The primary reason e-residents are joining this community is to run a trusted location-independent EU business online with all the tools needed to conduct business globally.

 Scanned picture of your identity (Valid passport recommended or ID card for EU citizen )
 Scanned Photo (good resolution) described in Help of the form
You have filed to fill about “reason to apply”: you can choose location independent business or fan of e-residency. Describe yourself, your future business and you can add your CV, you can add your social media’s info or your local company and explain your motivation (strong motivation will be enough to be accepted) Please see picture below “reason for application”

Because once your application is approved, the card will be delivered to your chosen pick-up location; that is your chosen pick-up location is in a country or region where you are entitled to enter; You can choose from 37 embassies of Estonia in the world to pick-up your e-Estonian card and to do to do the biometry at the same time (See Figure 2) , As an indication of embassies : France (Paris), Germany (Berlin), Italy (Rome), Turkey (Ankara), Canada ( Ottawa) , Uk (London) , China (Beijing) , Belgium (Brussels), USA ( New your city ,san Francisco and Washington Dc ) , Russian federation (Moscow , St Petersburg) , Australia (Canberra)…

Picking up your e-Residency smart ID-card cannot be used as a reason or purpose for applying a visa and we will not issue any supportive documents in case you require a visa or any other authorisation to travel to your chosen pick-up location

E-residents receive a digital ID-card with two PIN numbers for secure digital authentication and digital signatures. Secure digital signatures are legally equivalent to a handwritten signature and face-to-face identification in Estonia, as well as between partners upon agreement anywhere around the world.

With just 1.3 million citizens Estonia is a small country. Of that number only 650,000 citizens are of working age, a figure expected to plummet in the next decade due to an ageing population and emigration.
And while e-residents are not citizens, the government believes they can contribute to the economy by using Estonian banks and establishing Estonian companies. They are also keen promote the country’s reputation as a digital pioneer.
