initially i thought they messed this up bad but they have payed significant homage to the original. mixed button bashing combat with decision making menus. in a hybrid semi update to appeal to the old and new. in my personal opinion i think they should have left out the bleeding numbers when attacking monsters as i feel that is for more cartoony looking games. but each to their own.
