Hey, this is my very first post on Steemit, (just got my account approved yesterday) and I am extremely excited!

I am going to contribute to this amazing community as much as possible.

Today, I wanted to talk about the importance of waking up early in the morning.

How to Wake Up Early In The Morning

In my post I want to explain what prevents us from doing waking up early in the morning, and how we can overcome those things that prevent us.

I am sure that you don't need me to tell you how important it is to wake up early in the morning in order to do the things that we need to do.

We all have many things that we need to do during the day.

Going to work.
Going to school.
Taking the kids to kindergarten.
Being with ones wife or husband.
etc...

After investing our time in those things, that are indeed very important, we really don't have much time to invest in ourselves.

Some of us would like to write a book, others would like to learn a new language to get a better job, and some might like to go for a run.

We all have different goals in life, yet what relates to all of us is that the time we have to achieve those goals is almost nonexistent.

So, obviously we need to plan our time differently in order to make more time for ourselves.

One way that we can free up some time is to wake up a few hours earlier in the morning.

I think that we all know this, but the thing that stops most of us is that we enjoy staying in bed.

We know that waking up at 6 o'clock in the morning instead of 8 o'clock, for example, will give us that much needed time to work on the things that we need to work on, yet it is very hard for us to make this change.

From time to time we say something like:

"...Ok, that's it, I woke up late today. Starting from Monday I am going to wake up early. Instead of waking up at 8 o'clock in the morning, I will wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning...".

Then we wake up at 8 o'clock or even at 9 o'clock, we become angry, and all of this just becomes a vicious circle that keeps on repeating itself.

So, let's stop with positive thinking, and motivation by saying to ourselves something like:

"...From now on I will do this...".

And also let's stop blaming ourselves for our so called 'week character'.

I say that we all should focus on the:

NEGATIVE.

On what prevents us from waking up early in the morning.

Of course each one of us will have a different answer to this question, but I do want to share with you how I started waking up early in the morning after years of waking up late, and maybe my story will relate to you.

Like most of us I knew that I can complete a lot of tasks if I wake up early in the morning, but the thing that prevented me from waking up 4 hours earlier is that

I didn't do it gradually, but always all at once.

So, if you are anything like me try to accomplish this test of waking up early in the morning - gradually.

If you are used to wake up at 8 o'clock in the morning, and you want to start waking up at 6 o'clock - then start by waking up for one week at 7:45, and then on the following week change it, and wake up at 7:30.

The change of course will be super slow, but also super realistic, and super doable.

Then slowly but surely you will find yourself waking up at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Of course you can use the same method when it comes to going to sleep earlier.

Another thing that has helped me is to put the alarm clock as far as possible from my bed.

I would also recommend to put a few alarm clocks in different places, and getting out of bed immediately after hearing the alarm clock.

Lastly, if you can cook a meal (can be any kind of meal - breakfast, lunch, dinner) right after waking up then and the preparation itself will wake you up.

So here is a quick summery:

My 4 Tips For Waking Up Early In The Morning:

1. Putting the alarm clock as far as possible from the bed.
2. Placing a few alarm clocks in different places.
3. Getting up immediately after hearing the alarm clock.
4. Prepare a meal right after you wake up.

If might be difficult to apply those tips to your life, (I know) and your brain will certinaly try to protect itself by giving you all kind of reasons why you should go back to bed, but if you keep trying to apply those tips they will eventually become a strong habit.

Hope this helps!
