Do whatever you like. Investing can be great, but it can also be a crapshoot. A healthy amount of skepticism and paranoia is a good thing. The trick is going to be trying to play the markets in such a way that you can buy low, and sell high. If you're not familiar with investing, it might not be for you. Do your research, learn about it, and see what you think.
