What is global warming?

Global warming is the rise of temperature of our planet. The term commonly refers to the increase of air and Ocean temperature since 1765 during the start of the Industrial Revolution when there was the invention of the first steam engine.

The arctic is warming twice as fast as every other place in the world.

The greenhouse effect" is the warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat.

Sunlight shines onto the Earth's surface, where the energy is absorbed and then radiate back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, greenhouse gas molecules trap some of the heat, and the rest escapes into space. The more greenhouse gases concentrate in the atmosphere, the more heat gets locked up in the molecules.

What is causing global warming?
Most of it is because the pollution that us human produce every second. Human activity isn't the only factor that affects Earth's climate. Volcanic eruptions and variations in solar radiation from sunspots, solar wind, and the Earth's position relative to the sun also play a role. So do large-scale weather patterns such as El Niño. It is scientifically approved that we only have 12 years to save this planet from Global warming… CAN WE DO IT?

Can we do it?

I think that the only way for us to save the planet is to do it together.
But to do that we need to collaborate and that is where I think we will have more struggles.

Who is Greta Thumberg?

Greta Thunberg is a 15 year old girl that started of but protesting every Friday for politics to actually do something about Global warming.
She started becoming famous and now she travels the world protesting for this.
We can be inspired by here to save the planet no matter what!

SO WHAT DO YOU SAY? DO YOU WANT TO SAVE THE EARTH?
