It's a group that upvotes quality content for life of its' members. Great for people who plan on being here a while. Definitely not a get rich quick scheme, but it is a floor you start with when you are making one post per day. Or a small daily wage for one post daily. They don't vote spam posts, and they intend on having a each membership posting once a day, if that makes any sense. Ha, I know my head was spinning when I first got into this platform just a few months ago. Thanks for the question @andhovesyan that's what I am here for!

We are trying to build a better blogging platform to support our work but there is another platform that we need to protect because it is supporting our life: the soil! With modern agriculture, new practices and chemical based products are destroying the soil microbiology. We can all help fix this by refusing to use harmful products and instead go back to old practices that are using more natural products that anyone can make in their backyard: compost waste instead of sending them to landfills and as bonus making some awesome soil amendment product, making your own fertiliser based on fermentation processes. Worm farming and black soldier fly farming are two of many ways we can deal with our food waste and improve the quality of our soil. I want to bring some knowledge of these topics to Steemit.

The farming of black solider flies is actually something I believe can change the world. The worms are edible (good for humans and fish farms), the adult insects have no biting mouth parts, the larvae make short work of compost...just so many uses.

Thanks for your response. BSFL are just amazing creatures, thanks to the combination compost worms and BSFL I’m now able to divert close to 100% of my food waste from landfills. But there are so much more BSF can bring us.

Sorry for the confusion, you were a co-winner for the day. I gave all three of you (because I thought you were all worthy) of winning. The daily winner gets a minimum of 10 cent upvote from treeplanter, I think yours was 0.11. That last contest was tough as heck, You were one of three that were the final cut, but I had to go with one. Having talked with you and seen the awesome things you were up to on here I knew you are going to damn solid on here for as long as you keep after it. Very wise move @gjones15! My recommendation would be to take it easy on how much you vote. It's very easy when you start to use your votes almost like a flare to help you get noticed. The best way to get noticed is to have real conversations with others on topics you can speak that shows level of expertise or personal enjoyment of that topic. I have you on right now what is a very short list and will be in touch with you on how I am going about this. My goal for those who join is that they preserve their voting power as much as possible because a group of us is going to be voting for your stuff anyways as well. If there is someone on here you get along with well I would recommend sending them to this spot as well. For your settings on the voting power level I would set it at 80-84 for right now. That will mean that you will not vote automatically with the group if your voting power is below that number. A lot to take in I know. I bring people along much more quickly when they are on discord. That is a great way to chat and instant message back and forth to lessen the learning curve on here. My discord handle is @cryptkeeper17 (#6637). Again, feel free to ask questions I am here to help. Okay, yes, it is a lot lol; but, I'm willing to learn :) So far, it's been great!!! Now... I was under the impression that I am unable to adjust voting power until I have fifty reputation score.. is this incorrect? And thank you for the suggestion regarding not using voting as a "flare;" that is a great description of precisely how I considered using self upvoting; though I learned pretty quickly that this was tacitly frowned-upon in the community lol, so I've since curbed the behavior. Either way, putting yourself out there and forming connections more "organically" is still the best route to take, as you stated. But now I should be more discerning with my votes on others' posts, is what you're saying... Okay! Makes sense. Oh, and I do have a discord account--I find the UI to be a bit to "gamery" (if that's a word ahah) for me--though perhaps I just haven't given it a chance, which is true.
