So I have been keeping my eye on the @earthnation since they have begun their team-up with @steembasicincome. It really looks like a nice group of people looking to make the world a better place, and I am very happy they too see the potential of the Steem Basic Income project.
So when I saw the Newbie Games, I thought, 'Why not?', so let's get to it!
Now the contest involves answering a question in only 50 to 300 words. I am no expert in 'small' talk, and I prefer to keep my posts to 800+ words plus pictures. So I found a trick, whereby my 50 - 300 word answer fits snugly between these two dividers, made for me with love by @snook! 😍
The question is:
Which of the following 5 topics is the most important problem for the world to solve:
A: Solving world hunger
B: Saving our oceans
C: Saving our rain-forests
D: Reducing our carbon footprint
E: Reducing homelessness
On to my answer...
The answer is both B and C, by which we can very easily solve A, D and E. Learning to care for our natural habitats, especially the ocean, will go a long way in solving world hunger, which is really more of an issue of distribution and not of quantity.
We must keep food quality and quantity high by more efficiently and ecologically managing our natural resources through agroforestry systems and holistic and integral management. Rain forests are very important and biologically diverse ecosystems which must be protected against further deterioration, but we must learn to 'save' all of our ecosystems including prairie, savanna, dry and wet, boreal, temperate, tropical and montane forests.
These issues are all inter-related, and our 'top priorities' are intertwined like a Gordian knot. Luckily, we have diverse people from around the globe working on innovative new solutions, together.
Well, in the end, that was only a 143 word answer. But it correctly communicates what I believe; there is no one 'right' place to start, and we all must work together. But I am, after all, an optimist 😉
Love and Light to All!
