Planning for a sustainable future.

A growing number of people are finally realizing that we are living in a death race to our extinction and the extinction many other species on this planet. Our current way of living is unhealthy and unsustainable.

Currently, it is estimated that 150-200 species go extinct everyday. It is also estimated that we will run out of food by 2050 (although some scientists argue this could be sooner).

Many people are suffering from depression, anxiety, or simply over stressed. They spend their days slaving away at jobs they hate. They buy food that is unhealthy simply because it is easier. They know our water is being poisoned and everything is being contaminated. They know things are going to get a lot worse. Sadly most either don't know what to do, or they're too distracted to care.
People want change but don't have a solid plan. People also fear actually changing.

So how can we make change happen and move to a more sustainable way of life?

We have spent a lot of time thinking about this very question.

The main problem getting in the way of change is money. People are caught in this system that steals their time so they can earn money. Once set up and fully operational, money doesn't become that much of a problem anymore. To buy land, build things, and set up sustainable energy it takes a lot of money. So this is the first problem to address.

How do we make enough money to make the change?

We are currently working a idea using cryptocurrency. People that want to make the change can invest a small amount of money here and there in a few cheap alt coins, once we get everyone participating we begin to push the coins by using any means necessary. Using your profile on FB/Twitter/steemit are good ways. Writing articles, or simply telling your family and friends. Eventually you will see a huge gain. But the plan doesn't stop there, once you have something to show the push will become more powerful and will attract more people to invest. This will take a few years but it is well worth it. ($100 in bitcoin 7yrs ago could have got you $140mil) once you have enough to buy the land and pay for things to gain independence you will still need a source of income for things you cannot produce.
You will need to start producing things others will need. A list of goods will be made of things people need. Simply pick one that appeals to you and create your business. It important to keep using the currency to allow others the same chance as you received. The things you sell should be paid for in this crypto as well as things purchase from other participants. After you reach this level of success you will attract the full attention from friends and family. You are now a catalyst for change.

Building communities.

Many will not want the responsibility of building a community and that's ok. Others will realize the necessity and rise up. The first few communities will likely just be friends and family. It's important that the very first community be highly visible and well maintained. The first one will be an example and inspiration to all others. The first community will be teaching others and will be a place where people can visit. It will show people a better way of living and be the second catalyst for change.

But how do you make a successful sustainable community?

Over the years science has discovered a lot about what makes humans happy and healthy. This will be a big factor it the design. What we eat and our environment are key factors to making a healthy and happy human. The community should be visually appealing and have beautiful gardens and amazing architecture. We will be using applied mycology to keep the environment healthy without the use of chemicals. Biodomes are relatively cheap and provide the ability to regulate temperatures and supply fresh oxygen for homes. Labs will be needed to produce beneficial bacteria for our mirco biome to keep us healthy. They will also be needed for fungi to grow for food and clean up our waste. A few species of fungi and bacteria can eat plastic and breakdown toxins. These will be needed until we can move away from oil products completely. Our energy will come from wind, solar, geothermal, and hydrogen. We will also need places to build things and advance sustainable technology. The first community will pave the way and as other communities pop up all over the world more people will flock to them. Eventually sustainable living will become the norm and our doomsday clock will be stopped.

We will be starting the phase 1 crypto push in our Facebook groups

Wow! Epic Article @psychicphilosopher. We LOVE your style.

Resteemed and Ultra-Boosted. Welcome to the EN Guild.

Thank you, love what you guys represent.

It's a complicated thing, setting up new communities.

I've got some of my parents old commune/self-sufficiency manuals that were popular in the 70's - Five Acres and Independence and The Survival Handbook (the 1975 one by Michael Allaby). People put a lot of thought into these sort of plans in the past - can we be sure we will be avoid whatever caused them to fail?

Grand plans are fine, but I'd hate to see such an essential project stumble because we think we're so much smarter than previous generations of Utopian dreamers.

All that said, I think cryptocurrencies are a real game-changer in this space. Not just as a way to finance these projects, but because blockchain technology has the potential to sideline government from the things it most needs to do to survive: collect taxes. (BTW, I assume you mean to use STEEM for your crypto push - or were you going with the earthnation coin?)

Lot's to think about. Going to be an exciting time!

I am well aware of the failures of past communities. There is an excellent documentary about New Zealand's Mahana which started of beautiful and turned into a sad reminder of what happens to these communities.
Such a drastic change mixed with the isolation from society is often a death sentence for these communities. However I like the idea of smaller governance when mixed with technology. I believe it's easier for the people to maintain a strong voice with smaller government. Coming from a background of tribal communities, I also know that even small government can become corrupt and have thought about this.
The difference between all other communities and what I envision is technology and not necessarily isolating ourselves. A person who simply owns a little land can participate and still be part of the community/communities. Having this connection using technology will allow people to figure things out and problem solve. Things often look good on paper but don't work when applied so I imagine problems will arise. Different communities will have different ways of doing things and we will adapt things that work allowing for evolution.
I'm not saying "I know how to save the world" I am just adopting ideas and trying to bring people together in order to create positive change.
My hope is to become successful with my own investment so I can use that success as a way to get the attention of tribal governments. If I can gain the support of my wife's tribe and my tribe that means I will have brought a powerful allie into the project. The tribe makes billions through gaming and does a lot for the community already so I'm sure it would be an easy task given the positive impact.

Check out Earth Nation's crypto. Upcoming launch coming soon! http://www.equalitykeys.com/

Yeah, I only just heard about this in the past few weeks, but thanks.

Also we will be using a few coins in the push. They will all be "green" coins you might say. We plan on telling everyone at once as well as giving basic instruction and security tips.

Looking forward to seeing the details. Like I said, exciting times. Keep up the good work.

I know your a busy man and I appreciate you pointing things out. The world needs more thinkers like you and so does projects like this. 😉
