The magnitude of this earthquake seems quite significant and worthy of a post. Plus, it has occurred during the yearly event Anarchapulco hosted by Jeff Berwick in Acapulco, Mexico. According to their website the event is going on from February 15th to the 18th. Let's hope the local population and the anarchists/crypto enthutisiasts that are there as guests are all OK.
It's very sad to see those type of events happen. There's already more than 200 casualties. So much more could be done to minimize the damage earthquake causes sadly our world is all about war and world dominion.
I watch the USGS everyday for more than 15 years now. I also keep track of a lot of study publish on the subject. Here's an interesting one that got out not long ago.

I remember my first earthquake, the entire 20 store building wobbled. I really thought the entire place was coming down for a second. That was just a little baby quake too. This is really massive. I have never read about a 7.5 magnitude earthquake before. The highest I've seen is 7. I do pray the Anarchapulco crew are alive and well.

I am at this conference. The room shook. It didn't feel that strong. The earthquake happened when Jim Bell was speaking. I was more concerned about a tsunami. But all good. Hardly disrupted the conference.
