EA unlimited PC gaming subscription service
Popular video game developer EA Sports going to launch an EA unlimited PC gaming subscription service, Origin Access Premier on next week. In the company’s quarterly earnings call, EA Sports CFO Blake Jorgensen said, “this new subscription service will go live on Monday July 30th and coasts $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year.”
EA has already launched a $29.99-a-year PC downloads service, Origin Access, but subscribers of this service wait several months for new titles. For subscribers, Original Access Premier will give a chance to download each new EA title five days before its official release date.
EA states that, “the service may make sense for anyone who expects to play two or more EA PC titles over the course of a year and is unconcerned with traditional notions of ownership, since you lose access to the titles once your subscription lapses. We also focus on annual or biennial series like FIFA, Madden, and Battlefield where most of the player base migrates to each new release.”

The $14.99 monthly fee EA unlimited PC gaming subscription service is also a best way to test games for more than a few weeks. However, if you don’t think you’ll be playing long-term, you could join to Origin Access Premier for a month and save $45 on the service.
EA is the major third-party publisher to offer this type of subscription services. However, Microsoft also did the same thing with its Xbox Game Pass, which includes day-one access to each new Microsoft first-party title.
With the new EA unlimited PC gaming subscription service, EA will attract extra revenue from customers that would spend not as much as the subscription fee on the company’s games in a given year or extend DLC and micro-transaction income by expanding the player base of each title.
