the day after easter, it’s raining.

It’s 08:19am
I’ve had nearly seven hours sleep.
I’m awake, I’ve had toast. I have coffee next.
It’s raining, it’s the day after easter.
the loud bangs of air cannons is heard.

Unlike most today I’m aware that this is in fact monday the start of the week, not sunday, not that planning day where you get into things on monday but it’s actually monday and that means go time otherwise tomorrow will be a cluster fuck as my daughter is dropped down to me as she is off school and we end up in a mad race to understand why it’s not monday anymore.

Chocolate eggs will be on ‘better than half price’ and the shops will be discarding their current livery into waste bins for the next normals illusion holiday that they can exploit, time to change the stock, put up the spring and summer stuffs to get people considering their next holidays.

I rarely celebrate anything public holidays, I try not to get wrapped up in the commercial side of it, I just see it as another day I managed to be alive on planet earth, I’m just happy to have woke up and be here. I’m deadly serious about that, it’s another chance to go again, forward motion.

I’m also very aware that dayles six months is coming to an end and things will be different again here in van life, it’s been an intense six months and we certainly turned the ship around from where it was — determined to keep mentally positive, exercise more and be more focused when it’s just me here in the van again — we still have so much to do together.

The van is lovely and warm today, the rain pattering on the roof, dayle is still in bed but on her mobile phone with the dim light on her face. It’s quiet in between the loud air bangs of the compressor in fields over scaring off birds from eating the planted seeds.

I’d like to get into some writing and video making today for @dlive and @dtube, I wish it would stop raining, maybe it will in the week so we can record our first green screen outdoor recording we have been wanting to do for an age.

Oh I did manage to setup the laptop for podcasting yesterday, installed the software and that’s pretty much ready to go, I’ve change a few settings so I need to see what the output audio is like on better headphones because I’m using the 10 band eq on it for spoken word and while it sounds richer to me it might be too loud, I need to do some adjusting on the fly.

I’m going to start an effort to post more on the @nomadpictures account now that we have the @steepshot IOS application, it’s really slick actually and I asked if they will be supporting multiple accounts, it seems like it is something that will be coming now they are back in the store (I’d love to know what they had to do to get back in the store btw)

Ok, time to catch up on silicon valley, last man on earth and John Olivier and then we can see how the rest of the day is going to play out, it seems like it’s going to rain forever outside today! :)

p.s -- just remembered got my first virtual steemit client today later on as well! :)
