Ignorance is Bliss, and so on....

Through the day, as I worked; on a Sunday, during Easter, in jeans & a tee shirt. I was asked if I attended a church three times. I was asked if I knew Jesus once. I was scolded for accidentally cussing and not given a tip on a two hour ride, and had to drive two hours home.

Thinking on things I have studied since I denounced Christianity many years ago and made my life decision to never enter a church. Unless of course, goaded by social situations such as a marriage, a death or a graduation. I began running through the truths about the day and what was really going on. What I mean by that is the changing of the seasons, celestial bodies and traditions and how they are all tied together, in reverence to the sun and earth, from the death to life, from winter into the spring of summer.

A few years ago, I checked out some content and did a little research into the history of Easter. Many of you should do the same. While I now have issues with organized religion in general, I still feel obligated almost daily to stand up against ignorance, hatred, energies and actions that I consider evil. I do not, however, feel obligated to spend a day in church trying to pretend that that isn't the first time since last year i had been.

I am not sure about history on any level as many of you will understand. I am not sure about the reality of satan or Jesus. I think that it is perfectly sane to question all things that doesn't make sense and doesn't feel right. There have been many versions translated from the bible and i do not have the capacity to learn Hebrew. I think it is highly possible that the life and times of Jesus Christ should more than likely be taken as a metaphor on how we should live our lives. Or at least, how they prefer for us to, if we choose to be "righteous", because they sure the hell provide the blueprints for how to be rebellious.

I'm not sure at this point what I intended for this post other than to say a few things.... If you only think about ideas and thoughts that are from the past, how can you properly deal with the present and think about the future. Antiquated ideas and religious beliefs are generally designed to control the masses of people and teach them to police themselves. While the ethics behind most religions I can certainly stand behind, the specifics and the cookie cutter image of God that we were NEVER SUPPOSED TO CREATE is ideas that I can not. I also believe where it says in the bible, namely in the 10 commandments to not engrave an image or build alters to worship at.

At any rate, people are perfectly within their rights to believe what they want, and that means the ones who you disagree with. I think at this point in society, you should either be inviting someone to your church daily, not just on easter, or you should not invite anyone at all.... also, you should understand that people are waking up and realizing that they don't have to follow a tradition just because you do.

I miss the days of being ignorant to alot of this stuff, but once you can see the world in truth, you can not go back. Take care of each other and yourselves most importantly.
