Research suggests that “ healthy” food choices similar as eating fruits and vegetables haven't only physical but also internal health benefits and might be a long- term investment in future well- being. This view contrasts with the belief that high-sweet foods taste better, make us happy, and palliate a negative mood. To give a further comprehensive assessment of food choice and well- being, we delved in-the- moment eating happiness by assessing complete, real life salutary geste across eight days using smartphone- grounded ecological evanescent assessment. Three main findings surfaced First, of 14 different main food orders, vegetables consumption contributed the largest share to eating happiness measured across eight days. Second, sweets on average handed similar convinced eating happiness to “ healthy” food choices similar as fruits or vegetables. Third, regale inspired similar eating happiness to snacking. These findings are bandied within the “ food as health” and “ food as well- being” perspectives on eating geste.
