Eating more vegetables reduces the risk of breast cancer

Hundreds of women around the world are using hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which combines estrogen and progestin to relieve menopausal symptoms during menopause. However, research is concerned that this therapy may increase the risk of breast cancer. A new study from the University of Missouri - Columbia says luteolin, a substance found in green vegetables such as celery, broccoli, coriander, can reduce the risk.
Scientists at the University of Missouri - Columbia say that luteolin may slow the progression of breast cancer cells by using hormone replacement therapy combined with natural estrogen and synthetic progestin.

Hope from this study, with further studies, may offer a new drug that can help treat some types of heavy and difficult to treat breast cancers. The drug can be used by direct injection into the bloodstream.

At the same time, the team advised women to adopt a diet rich in vegetables and fruit to prevent breast cancer. Luteolin is present in vegetables such as thyme, parsley, celery, and broccoli.
